I've noticed something weird in a few of the replies I've been receiving: somehow the name attached to my email address gets changed from "Andrew Visscher" to "Claire Visscher". I don't have any idea how that is happening because it doesn't say that on my emails and not everyone else sees the wrong name either. Seems bizarre to me!

Andy, not Claire

(This is going back a ways, but I believe this is correct.)

I remember having a problem with the latest production firmware on the HD300 so I ended up putting on the latest beta instead. I'm running 20110506-0. I recommend everyone do that instead.

Are the ones that this happens with all gmail accounts? If so, I suspect it's what I speculated earlier.

But that would mean I've been calling my cat by the wrong name for all these years! No wonder she seems a bit aloof at times.

I do think it is gmail's doing, but "why" remains a mystery, as that email address has always been mine & is even in my gmail contacts under my own name.

I've had Google Plus try to do strange things before.

I never signed up because I spent too much time trying to defeat what "it" wanted me to do, instead of it doing what "I" wanted it to do.

None of the header or MIME content of your messages has Claire anywhere in them so it's not coming from you. It only appears in our replies to your message and it only started "after" my second reply in my case, so it was not there in my first reply. It only came after my reply to your message auto added your address to my contacts list and Google Plus started doing it's matching thing.

I think Google Plus is trying to link this Claire person to your address in our contacts friendly name for your email address because it's the closest match. Incorrect match, but closest. I turned off all my display of Google Plus items in Gmail and it's no longer an issue for me. You shouldn't have to do that but Google IS taking over the world if you didn't know. (kidding)

I was essentially just letting people know, in case they saw it, that it really was me. But, it might be resolved now after some googling.

Status update: I was not able to get to the invoices yesterday, but have started them today. Please be patient while I get them sent out.

I'm working through the single orders first. As the sale post mentioned, I have to hold the multiple orders for 5 days to see if I need to limit any orders.

Currently, I don't see any problems fulfilling the multiple unit HD300 orders.

HD200s are sold out and are thus limited to 1 for the few who will get them.

Spare remotes might be limited to 1 for some people.

Andy

Andy, what is the cutoff for ordering? I've been working on the wife and may have approval for ordering a second unit.

There is no cutoff for ordering -- I'm just waiting these initial 5 days before shipping multiple orders. If they don't sell out, then I'll just keep the sale open. If you want to update your order, let me know.

Just to double check, you didn't happen to have any more of the IR extender cables for the HD300's correct?

No, I only have what was listed in the sale notice. And that is down to HD300s and spare remotes.

The discussion of what wifi adapter would work with an HD300 has been moved to its own topic at this link.

I submitted my order for a single HD300 about 1 or 2 minutes after the announcement was posted, and I haven't received an invoice yet. I'm sure you just haven't gotten around to it, but it does make me a little nervous that I've been missed. Are you still working on the invoices?

Yes, and I will post an update to the announcement topic since not everyone reads this one.

Please be patient, though, since fulfilling orders is not my main job, I'm learning the ropes & am getting all these processes in place. (Google actually shipped everything to me about 1 or 2 weeks before I expected, so I was still getting things ready to go when they got here.)

No problem, I'm in no rush. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missed. Thanks for the update.
