LOVE the RF on Boxee box, the IR on Sage was always a hassle to keep line of sight perfect. Keep up the good work guys, would test and help if I could, in the midst of moving and net only at old house currently.

Could the App need to be enabled in Windows firewall? Any ideas on this issue?
Hmm. I have no idea on the first problem. I thought anybody could download from the repository

Second issue - If it can't connect to the server the app does not ask if you want to try again, it asks if you want to continue anyway. (At least it should.) So it sounds to me like it's failing to connect, which would also cause the third issue.

Zip and attach the logfile. (If you don't know where it is reply and let me know if you are using the Box or a PC client.)

I've tried both, what should this be configured as in the app?
The UNC Map should be z:,\\serverIP\Recorded

Forgot to mention, did you check that you specified the correct port that jetty is listening on? The server name should probably be 192.168.0.100:8080

Got it to connect.

I had not restarted the server after Sagex installation. Reboot fixed it.

Super fast response, Plays my files perfectly, SRT closed caption files load automatically.

Comskip is different, it does not show the commericals in the timeline, but rather acts like they have been cut out. You can only tell that it is working when comskip leaves a part of a commerical.

No problems here at all!

Added the repository. Then started the app and filled in the serveriport, username and password when asked.

Not found anything failing to play yet. Tried default mpeg recordings and converted mpeg4 in avi and mkv

Nice job on this. One thing I couldn't figure out how to fix was I inadvertently typed in the wrong user name. It didn't offer a way to edit or change that once it didn't connect. I basically blew away my Boxee directory under Appdata so that I had to login to Boxee. It then went thru the routine of setting it up so I could type the user name correctly. Maybe there was an easier way but I couldn't figure it out. Everything played and worked well. I know it's a work in progress. It would be nice if there was a page up/page down from the remote. Also to see on the right hand side something either episode title or to differentiate the episodes in the list. Currently we just see the title. Those couple of things would make it very usable as is. Nice work and getting this far this fast is just incredible.

I was able to connect to my sage server and see my recordings but I can't play anything. I have tried both the UNC and local path with no success. My sage server is a WHS 2003 server with a local sage path of d:\shares\Video\SageTV.

I tried:
d:,//192.168.0.x/shares/Video/SageTV
\\servername\Videos\sageTV

Any other thoughts?

Thanks

I was just heading out the door for dinner when you sent the log.

The comskip playback is all handled by Boxee, I'm not sure how to override that but I'll have to find out because I don;t like it to skip automatically.

I don't know much about WHS but do you have a share defined for the directory? If so what directory is shared and what is it shared as?

Gerry,

I'll try to make the setup more robust.

The next version adds the episode names in the right panel. I already have that working.

No way to do page up and page down from the remote ASAIK. I'll look into it more.

I'm on WHS and I didn't have to give it any UNC paths. It should already know about them. FYI-on WHS I used the built in share called Recorded TV for my SageTV recording directory. I just checked the SageTV -Setup-Boxee and UNC path is blank.

It does seem to be a permission issue with WHS as I try to run \\servername\Videos and a username/password box pops up.

I'll keep trying and send my results.
