You can use haedphone cords
Instead of the splitter, you can buy a headphone cord and cut the ear piece ends off or buy a stereo to mono cord at Radio Shack. I soldered an emitter to each "ear" cord and it works perfectly.
I figured that I need the cord anyway so why by the stereo to mono adapter.
