The beta results look really good and thanks for the Beta testers that gave great feedback should be on schedule for release tomorrow.

All kidding aside about release dates being teased, I'm really looking forward to this and appreciate all of your hard work (and everyone else's hard work obviously)

As of right now yes. Nothing broke so it may be backwards compatible but we are all running the new beta so easiest to support what we are using.

Cool, i'll let you know how it works on non beta then once its released. I'd rather stay non beta until kinks are worked out.

Any idea how to roll back to the last version should there be issues?

Also keep up the awesome work, this looks amazing, totally makes the switch to V7 worth it!

The only issue is you will have to edit the xml for a backwards compatibily

No way to roll back sagetv plugin system doesn't allow this currently.

and thanks

Moving Fanart

If I want to change my fanart to a network location I have 2 questions?

Will this make a performance difference?

What settings do I need to change?

can you say more about this?

i also don't want to move to 7.x beta until a lot of the issues are resolved there, so i'll want to run the new Diamond update on the GA release. can you let me know if i'll be able to do that, and if there is a special xml edit i need to do to make it work?

and, as others have said, thanks to all of the Diamond team for an excellent plugin and all of the hard work that it represents!

Diamond (tomorrows version and current) cache to the local Sagetv/Cache folder so once the images are cached it's local access. It may slow down the initial caching but you probably won't notice (from the network vs on the local machine).

You'll have to setup BMT or Phoenix Core Services to save to your new network location once you move your existing fanart.

See below for changing the location that Diamond will read from. This can also be changed right in the Phoenix Core Services Plugin that is also installed as a dependancy.

( Hey look at that, another screen shot )

I have Fanart (backgrounds and banners) saved in folders, and then I have the DVD cover art ("posters"?) in the actual DVD folder (folder.jpg within the VIDEO_TS folder). Will these be used? If I direct Diamond to the "Phoenix Fanart" folder(s) where the backgrounds and banners are, do I need to move my DVD movie cover ("posters"?) to that folder, or can I leave them where they are?

See thAt screen Jeremy posted? The use Folder posters and folder backgrounds first is what you want and you can specify the format you store the in so no matter how you have them named in the movie folders you can make diamond grab backgrounds and posters from the folders first and only use bmt as a backup or not at all bmt is not required.

I have now subscribed to a few services that make it appear as if I am in the US, rather than Canada. So now the online services generally work, including Hulu and Netflix (using their US service so the Instant Queue is now active) but nothing shows up under PlayOn TV - what should I be seeing here?

I think you need to use the Playon for Sagetv: Netflix/Hulu Queue Importer plugin (under general) to do that, it is separate from EP's Playon plugin. I think that it works with SMM and it will work with the next Diamond thanks to EP and Plucky.
