Plugin: Diamond Theme

Got some weirdness... I ripped a BD on my Sage box to SMM. Went into Sage using the Diamond theme, and for some reason when I switch between screens I have the poster for that movie as a background between the screens. I've never selected it at all, so I don't know why it would suddenly start showing between screens. Any thoughts?

As stated before anything SMM related needs to be put in that thread the diamond theme for default sagetv does nothing with SMM.

That being said I have seen that time to time and it is just a image sticking for some reason between screens I am not sure why sage does this at times.

I posted here becuase I saw it only with Diamond, so I thought it was Diamond related But thanks for the explanation.

One other thing, I noticed your time bar to be darker than the standard v7 time bar. most watch stuff when they have captions or CC or ticker bars are normally at the bottom of the screen. So, when I pause I have to wait for the time bar to disappear to read it (I know there is a setting where I can set when it disappears but right now I have it at 3sec).

Is there a way to have either have the time bar on top and then info on the bottom. or have a thiner time bar (without the volume slide) on the bottom?

PS I have the same problem with the standard V7 ui.

I think this was missed because of last post of the page. This theme is perfect for small screen where you need to read everything but the information and time bar covers most of the screen. See my quote for explanation.

Not really interesting in moving the time bar maybe someone else will make a plugin that does. It is darker but the theme is darker so that is expected.

I've created a new plugin (Replace Index Numbers with Season/Episode in Recordings Screen under the UI Mods section) to remove the numbers in the right side of the recordings screen that have no meaning and replaced them with the Season/Episode number. Here's a screenshot:

Not bad I have been thinking about just getting rid of that side display all together in diamond to me showing the shows has no benefit I would rather see grouped data like number shows/number watched newest episode/last watched etc etc

does this work in diamond theme? are there any specific dependencies other than bialo's season number/episode number plugin? i ask because i installed it and still get number only..but when i browse the group, i see season/episode info? thanks for the work...hope i can get it to work.

What is he modifying in the group view? That will/could conflict with what diamond is doing in the next release as per the above screenshot.

Rather than pouring ALL of these mods into Diamond, you should consider making the change a separate plugin - makes it easier to get get exactly what you want if you can install things separately.

Lots of small in scope plugins are better (less likely to break other plugin's for sure) than big conglomerated plugins that touch a lot of things.

so are you saying that i don't need bialo's plugin to show that information? does BMT already get all that information? should i then just uninstall that and wait for an update to the diamond theme? here are some screenshots showing the in treatment group with number and when i browse the group, the S/E info shows up...

My plugin does not touch the UI elements in the first screen shot you have there. It IS in use on the second one.

Bailo's plugin modifies differently then diamond will see screenshots so you could use both. Daimond adds the option in to sort by episode season I am not sure if bailo's does this or not?

Because I despise personally already how convulated the plugins menu is with all the one mod plugins. It is just to much and hard for users to decipher all of it. I understand why some are doing it but it makes it really confusing to look at and I don't want users constantly asking "how do I make it look like your screenshot" only to have to explian they have to install 10 small mods instead of just one that has it all. Not everyone will like all our mods so we are trying to leave them optional with options.

All of our mods in diamond should work with everything else without breaking it (with the exception of the volume hide plugin because we changed the osd so much.)

Our mods will also have options to turn the mods off it you don't want them allowing the default to still remain and default plugins to still exist.

That is not part of diamond that is another users plugin you are free to install it whatever you like...
