@Zogg - hi, give that link another try, I think we're close!

Hi KJake,
Yes we are getting close. I have attached the latest dump as well as the callog csv. The call info is being sent to my YAC listener and is pretty much correct now, but I see multiple messages as well as "ping" and a few others that are not incoming calls but just the server talking to the VOIP box. And you probably know but I'm still getting a ton of those "uninitialized value in concatentation" messages as well. Cheers, Zogg Last edited by Zogg; 06-22-2011 at 04:26 PM. |

Hi KJake,
This version is working pretty well with a few exceptions. As you can see from the log file the caller ID info is being stripped out and sent over to the YAC listener and looks good. No issues there. The only real problem is that it's picking up extra communications from the Voipo server to the box. You can see "ping" in the log file and I added one that wasn't in the log but that I saw, the "Voicemail Notifier vmnotify". These messages are also being sent to the listener so they are too frequent and annoying to leave things running at this point. Also, I've noticed that after a few rings the caller ID info changes slightly, usually adding a "+" sign, which I know is because the Voipo server changes the packet data slightly. This isn't a big deal though so if there isn't a way to latch the data per call so it doesn't change on the TV then no problem. Again, thanks for the great work! Hi Zogg,
Anything that doesn't have a phone number should be being filtered out in the last version. I've added some more error catching to see if that resolves it and am trying to handle the +1 issue. Download link stays the same, as usual. Please note that the version output should be 1.17.3 now - decided to increment that so we know that you have the latest. |

Basically the same results as before but a bit cleaner. Didn't see the +1 this time so I think you got that. On one call after the listener window timed out, it came back again in response to another notification but it was the same call.
Also still saw the extraneous stuff (ping and VMNotify) and still the concatenation errors. Thanks! Last edited by Zogg; 06-22-2011 at 04:27 PM. |

Hi Zogg, trying some new ways to try and catch these. Something tells me that Voipo is sending some odd characters down the stream and that is causing my fixes not to work correctly.
New version (1.17.4), same bat-channel. |

All right, I think you've zeroed in on it! Looks good and works good.
The *only* thing that wasn't perfect is that I have the YAC listener on default settings, and it fades away around the 3rd ring. But after about 4 rings the caller ID popped up again on the TV. I guess Voipo is sending so many messages that the process starts to repeat. I've been meaning to set the YAC listener to display the caller ID for longer, so I can mask over this problem if there's no way to prevent the above from happening. It definitely isn't a major problem. Great job and thanks again!!! |

I saw above a request on how to get this working with Tomato and Vonage. I'm currently running Tomato version 1.28, but this has worked with previous versions and and with dd-wrt.
Go to: Administration->Scripts->Firewall and enter: iptables -A PREROUTING -t mangle -p udp --dport 10000 -j ROUTE --gw 192.168.1.100 --tee The ip address is the machine that you will be running sip2yac on. Maybe this will help someone. dave |

This stopped working for me several days ago. I finally got around to checking and good old Voipo had changed the ports from 5060 and 5061 (for second line) to 5078 and 5079.
Fortunately that's an easy config change to make, but I had to use Wireshark to see what was going on. |

Outgoing calls
I have magic jack running and I have sip2yac working. For some reason, it shows me the outgoing call when the caller picks up the phone. I have it to ignore my phone number, but can't seem to get it to work correctly. Can someone help me with this.
Thanks Scott |
