How well does Phoenix run on the HD200/300 extenders. ?
I'm using Diamond now, and notice it can be a little 'sticky' when cursoring arround.

Much much smoother than Diamond on my HD200 - my personal experience

Thanks Redcoat.
This is sounding better all the time.
Does Pheonix also integrate the Playon plugin the way Diamond does ?

Unfortunately my cat, Stanley, just got diagnosed with diabetes! Poor fella, just started insulin shots yesterday...

You can automatically have the favourite add a user category and then filter based on that. I think it's the "right way" to do things since v7. I set up a "kids" category and added it to all the kids favourites. Then, I use the built in TV menu customizer to have an option that only displays "kids" category.

As for archive recordings, I always assumed it was so that Sage wouldn't delete the file if the favourite is set to "keep only 5" or something like that.

I use it to keep shows that I like evern though the series is set to only keep a certain number.

Great Work

These ScreenShots are crazy nice! Good Work.

I'm sure I'm asking an obvious question here but.....I really like the newest Diamond 7. Plucky did an amazing job on this as well. So will the new Phoenix replace Diamond or enhance it?

Phoenix is a replacement for the entire default SageTV UI.
Diamond is an add-on for the default SageTV UI.

I wouldn't say it replaces OR enhances Diamond - it's completely a different beast. It's an alternative to Diamond gets the closest, although that still isn't a perfect comparison....

btl.

Sorry for the newb question but I am new to the Phoenix UI discussion. I am resisting the upgrade from SageTV 6.6 to 7 as I'm not happy with the v7 UI. This is one possible alternative suggested to me. Is a GA date near so I can look at this as a UI Replacement or did I miss that somewhere in the thread alread?

Thank you!

Phoenix is currently in private beta, and no word as of yet from Bialio and team as to when the general public will get their hands on it.

it is def. worth the wait though!

The basic feature set is just about ready for public beta. Won't be too much longer.
