Thanks for the outstanding plugin! My favorite is the sort by file date in folder view. I've been living without it for months since SageMC v6 .
My problem is, when you load folder view, there is a long pause and the loading circle icon for a full 20 seconds before I get into the videos folder. It also happens after you view a video's info, then scroll back to the main video screen. Is this normal on any level? It loads up quickly using any other view. I have around 500 files in a single directory connected to a NAS down the hall from the server/main viewing PC. I watch on the same PC the server is on. I'm running all latest versions and have various plugins installed, including phoenix fanart, bmi, comskip, cpu monitor and others. I've tried turning different options for CVF on/off and disabling other plugins and I still get the same result. |

I dont think there's an issue with CVF in this view. This is also my favorite view and way to sort. I have over 500 movies, but they are stored locally on a multi-disc Raid-0 partition. It sounds like the 20 second delay is related your setup and how long it takes to browse each file over the network. Performance is the #1 reason why I keep my raid local verses over the network since it has to be able to handle 12 HD tuners recording at the same time as well with FF/REWing on clients. I hate to say this, but it's just going to get worse in performance as you collection grows. I'm not sure if this will help, but you can try to put each movie (and respective properties files) in their own own folders to see if the performance is any better. That should reduce the number of files by half (if you have properties files for each movie file. If it doesnt make much of a difference, you can always put it back. The utility takes less than a minute to download and execute: File-to-folder script. Originally when I tried out MyMovies, I HAD to put each movie in it's own folder. However, even after I uninstalled MyMovies, I still liked the idea of keeping each movie file in its own folder; and, left it that way. Good luck.

Like Mkanet i dont have a problem with delay in that view either. I have 450+ videos in a single folder on an external usb drive. The longest pause i have seen in entering this folder especially right after i change the sort options and go out and come back in is about 5 seconds.

Well, is it the resorting by file date that causes the pause? There is no pause when I don't use CFV while using the default folder view.
Oh well. All my movies are on one hard drive so maybe I should try to put that in the sage server instead. I don't have properties files anymore since BMI did away with 'em. |

I am using a Sage api function called "GetPathLastModifiedTime". I am not aware if there is a "faster" function that would return a sortable file date/time stamp. k |

Hi. I just started using CVF and it does some great things, especially letting me hide watched videos.
One issue, it seems to be using a different title than the filename (the "Phoenix based Title" perhaps?). My filenames are more accurate titles than those, so I would like it to display the filenames instead (but without the .avi or .mkv extensions). Is there any way to make it do that? I use folder view mode, in case that makes any difference. Thanks. |

Download Link
Can someone direct me to the download link for this plugin?
Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I can't seem to find a link to this plugin in this thread or in the download list. Thanks. |

You're in a sageTV 7 sub-forum. All plugins under sageTV 7 are available via SageTV 7's plugin manager.

How do I get the episode / season numbers to show up next to the show title? i.e "Human Target (S02E03)"
Thanks for the great plugin. |

Thanks, I will post this question in the BMT forum, because all BMT does is label the show 'Human Target (2010)'.

Take a look at the details screen for one of the episodes and let me know what the top line shows... it should be in the form "Series Title - SxxEyy - Episode title". If it is then BMT is doing what it should and I might have a bug. Post a screenshot or 2 to help me narrow it down. Also you might try disabling all other plugins to see if something else is conflicting. Thanks k |

Y2K Bug - Original-air-date sort order
jusjoken, there's an issue with the current, "Original-air-date" sort order.
If you sort video imported movie titles by "original air date"... movies titles with "original air date" "year" metadata set to 19xx; CVF will presume that these movies are 20xx. Originally, I thought it was a sageTV core bug, but sageTV support said it's a bug within the plugin. See attached pictures which will explain it better than I can in words...
