The beta from last week seemed good.. Do they have that available anywhere until we can move forward again?

All the firmware versions are linked in their respective forum posts:

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...t=38677&page=2

That's the second page of the beta firmware thread. The one from the 16th (the latest) is on the third page. You'll notice a BIN and VER file for each firmware along with a link to recovery instructions on how to install them from USB or directly from the server.

Just FYI, Got this advice back from tech support and it worked for me:

******
Try the reset procedure with the S-Video connection.

1. Turn the device off by unplugging the unit.
2. Press and hold the delete button on the remote while plugging in the power cable. Continue until the active light blinks twice.
3. You might need to hit the video out button a few times to change the resolution.
******

I'm still on the 7/12 beta version but 720p output seems to work at least. I did try doing a firmware upgrade twice and it hung both times, one time returning a java.lang exception or something like that.

But anyway, it's back up and running for me.

Sorry about taking so long but I've also updated to 0719 firmware and have the same issue. I've attached the debug log.
Not sure if this is relevant to you but I"m using the HDMI output converted to DVI. This cable and connection type works well with the May firmware for all resolutions including 1080i and 720p.

Thanks

I'm still seeing missing modes every now and then with the July 19 firmware as well.

However, with this firmware I have been able to power cycle the TV and get an image at 1080.

I'll grab some logs when this happens again.

I also use a HDMI to DVI converter and am experience the same problem with the firmware released on 7/19/10. I submitted a bug report and was told they believe they already have it fixed for the next firmware release.

A bit of an update...

I've been running the latest beta firmware versions since this issue came up and have managed to reproduce the issue (only 480 modes working) on a seemingly random basis.

A little while back, on a whim, I disabled the "Force HDMI" feature that I had always had enabled, back from when I was using a DVI adapter with an older HDTV.

With this property disabled, I have not again noticed the output issue on bootup. Something to look at for anyone else experiencing this issue still. And something to note to Sage in any on-going debugging.
