Thanks

Yeah, the warnings (yellow triangles) for today's games should disappear by 12:45 ET. If you still have warnings after 12:45 ET then SRE should generate system messages telling you which game(s) require an override. The system messages appear 1-30 minutes before the scheduled start of the recording.

SRE UI Issue

tmiranda and Slugger, the new UI is great, however I think I an seeing a small issue with it. I installed it this morning and noticed I can no longer page down in a Recording Detail screen. I have tried it on several of my previously recorded items, and none of them allow for moving or paging down the screen. I uninstalled the SRE UI plugin, and I am then able to page down again in the Recording Details pages. I reinstalled the SRE UI plugin and the issue returns. I often page through the Recording Details on recordings (not real sure why) so if you could look into this it would be fantastic.

Yeah, this is the same issue reported above in this thread. I'm sure tmiranda will have a look at it when he gets a chance.

Sorry I have not had time to look at any of this yet, too busy in real life. One possible reason I'm not seeing the issues is because my dev system is not running the latest beta.

I'll get to it as soon as I can.

I can now reproduce these two errors (which I think are caused by the same underlying issue). No idea why it's happening though

V1.01

I found the source of the errors and a fix is now available.

@cat6man - I did not change the text input dialog. I looked at the YouTube Search screen and I'm not sure everybody will like that. I'm considering making it an option. I need to give it some thought.

And just to show you that no good deed ever goes unpunished. The problem stemmed from future code enhancements that I had in there but was not yet using. I have to say this is the first time I've ever been bitten by code that was never used

Slugger - Sorry if this is a dumb question but I haven't used SRE since last April since it hasn't been hockey season

Should SRE be working for NHL games? I just set up my Favorites to record and for hockey games starting on Oct 7 I get the yellow triangel with "Monitor Status Unknown". Is that what I should be getting?

Yes. The status for all events (that can be monitored) will be unknown until the day of the event.

By default, all recordings do a lookup with the livepvrdata.com service when they start recording. Unchecking a recording will disable monitoring for that specific recording (i.e. it will never try to talk to livepvrdata.com about the recording).

Two use cases (that I can think of) for unchecking a box:

1) You are recording a known replay of a game/event and so SRE will only get confused if you let it try to monitor the event, so you disable monitoring for that single recording.

2) You know SRE will not be able to monitor the event, even with an override. Save the hassle of getting warnings and system messages from SRE and just disable monitoring for the event. Some NCAA events would fall into this category (especially Division III games and some Div II games, which can't be monitored by SRE because espn.com doesn't provide the scoreboard details for them).

I've tried to install SRE a couple times from my HD200, but I can't seem to connect all the dots. It appears to be installed successfully from the plugin manager on the HD200. However, when I check the web interface at http://localhost:8080/sre the following error is returned.

HTTP ERROR: 404
Problem accessing /sre. Reason:

NOT_FOUND

When I try http://localhost:8080/apps/ the following errors are returned for SRE.

Sage Recording Extender v3.x (SREv3)

[failed]

Screenshots attached.

I also found the sre.log file which is attached.

What am I doing wrong?

I've had a few users recently who seemed to be missing required jars. Not sure how they went missing, but they did. Seems this is probably the case here. To be sure, I'll need Jetty debug logs in order to see the stack traces from SRE.

Follow the directions in this wiki and provide the jetty debug log for me to have a look at.

I turned on the jetty debug log and then tried the URL's again.
http://localhost:8080/sre and http://localhost:8080/apps/

Is there anything else I need to test with debug on?

I've got enough from the attached logs:

Code:
java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: pluginAPI
	at com.google.code.sagetvaddons.sre3.server.AiringMonitorManager.init(AiringMonitorManager.java:84)
	at com.google.code.sagetvaddons.sre3.server.AppInitializer.contextInitialized(AppInitializer.java:51)
What version of the GKusnick Tools library do you have installed? Either way, upgrade it to the latest version, restart Sage, and that should fix it. I would like to know what version you have installed right now before you upgrade because apparently I need to require a newer version than the one I'm listing in SRE's dependencies list.

I had version 1.3.3 of GKusnick Tools library. There was no update available so I uninstall SRE, SRE Common and GKusnick Tools library. I then reinstalled GKusnick Tools library and SRE but the same errors are returned from http://localhost:8080/sre and http://localhost:8080/apps/

A new jetty log file is attached.

Looks to be a bug with the latest build of GKusnick's API wrappers. I've sent him a PM for assistance. I hesitate to upgrade my copy of his plugin because there is no way to downgrade if I do actually reproduce it (without some manual mucking around with the JARs folder) so hopefully he will get back to me and provide a new build, if required.

What version of Sage are you running, by the way?
