And the latest tv apps we are working together. But all of our projects (ortus or smm) involve heavy idea and code sharing we seem to work pretty well together most of the time when me and ben aren't bickering over UI |

14 days since the last post gents.
How is project Ortus coming on or are you still arguing over who has the most style? I have 3 HD300's coming to add to my HD200's; SMM is working great, Ortus Trailers is working great - Ortus will just finish off the WAF for good. Keep it going I know this is a labour of love......

My thoughts are that nothing will be released before Sage comes out of Beta officially.

Hey all.....
Its been a long time since I posted anything in this thread and unfortunately its not good news as I've decided to quit Ortus........ I basically don't have the time nor the inclination to finish what I started. I've left it open for the other team members to continue if they want to but for me this is it. Sorry I couldn't finish it for all those that were looking forward to something different. Cheers Ben

It has been a long road buddy. We really did try and for a long time as well. I haven't contributed greatly to ortus in a while. As I stated in the ploxee thread cutting ourselves to thin is not fun. I will not be finishing ortus either.

This is just proves what I've always said.
Sage UI improvement is not a hobby. It should come from Sage themselves. |

Really? You too? Man... Sorry to hear you go. Your contributions have been amazing. I hope this doesn't mean the end of Ortus... I was really looking forward to seeing it come to fruition. I won't say that I understand your situation because I probably can't put myself in your shoes adequately. I do understand the need for personal time though. I hope that you didn't get too burned out. Thank you again for all your efforts and that goes for all the developers.

Woah, not a good sign.
Let's see now: Current Team Members: JPhipps, PluckyHD, Razrsharpe, Kricker and Jaminben Possible New Member: Stylisticz (Credit for Poster Covers) I know razr's been pretty busy with the real world lately, so technically, we may be down to only 2 (or 3). I think we all understand the very delicate balancing act each of you do and we appreciate the efforts you do put out there. One thing that really struck me about your post was the fact that you lost "the inclination" to participate. Assuming it wasn't due to "team issues" (that would suck on a whole different level), I hope it's nothing serious in your personal life. (Note that I don't expect a response or clarification from you, since it's called "personal" for a reason. ) Whatever the reason for your departure, I hope you'll find yourself wanting to return at some point in the future.

This is why I haven't bothered getting excited, because I honestly didn't ever see it developing beyond a few screenshots and teasers. Not trying to be a jerk.....just trying to be realistic and prevent myself from getting excited over something which may or may not materialize.
Thanks to the hard work you guys have put in, but ultimately it boils down to priorities and everyone has their own. Best of luck! |

Ouch! So is there anyone left on the Ortus team?

Maybe the Phoenix team could take some of the code and implement it into their interface. I was really looking forward to the way movies were displayed in Ortus.
