I see this 'unable to get metadata' error now and then also. Just movies I believe, and usually imdb as far as I'm aware. an example Promised Land (2012). Search via bmtweb on imdb shows a bunch of titles, pick the 2012 (or 2013) title and the error pops up.
There are some on the list of search results that do populate, but not the 2012 or 2013 versions. works fine when selecting tmdb and putting in 2013 as the date. I imagine recreatable on other systems as it's persistent to this title for me. from imdb - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2091473/ from tmdb - http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/133694-promised-land Hope that helps. |

New Phoenix 2.5.3
I updated a new Phoenix core that reverts the tmdb v3 api back to using the old v2 api.
Hopefully that fixes things for people.

Is there a way to configure bmt/phoenix to recognize combined episodes?
for example: Hell On Wheels - S03E01E02.mkv right now the match chokes due to the extra episode in the name. I'd be quite happy if I could just get it to ignore the "E02" and find it/catalog it appropriately as episode 1. I use the filename to keep track of missed episodes so I've been renaming to S03E01 and bmt works like a champ but I can be waiting weeks a rebroadcast of episode 2 before I figure out it's already here! |

for the rare occurance, you'd have to just match it manually. Unfortunately, sagetv does not support multi-episode airings/recordings, so by proxy, neither does Phoenix.

I suspected as much, but was hoping BMT had a nice little match "cheat" that would force it to ignore the second "EXX" in the title...
I don't really understand the separation/dependencies between BMT functionality and phoenix, I just know they are working together to fetch the metadata for new files. Which is how I treat video... rather than converting recording metadata I just rename and search thetvdb for the right match. thx, I'll keep sailing along the way I have. |

The Phoenix Core/API is what is doing all the metadata searching and fetching. BMT is just a web interface for the phoenix Core/API.
