Hmm, that's not my code, but PlayON might be doing that, although I can't imagine why.

Had a question about installing playon on a WHS for those of you out there and have done it. I tried digging through all 71 pages of posts but my eyes started to gloss over after bout page 10.

Is there anything special I need to do to install it? Like make sure it installs on my non-os drive? I heard something about people having to install a new version of WMP but got conflicting reports of it working and not working or even needing it at all. I saw the message about disabling advanced security after I install it.

Any other advice people can give on installing it?

Is Pandora working for anybody/everybody?

edit: I found a reference to the issue on The PlayOn forums. Through their forum I discovered that I could actually see "known issues" directly on my TV through the PlayOn menus which tells me that they are having login issues with Pandora.

I just can't get Playon to work reliably with a Sage Extender. I really want it to work but there are way too many issues like Playon going into 100% CPU mode and hanging the extender, etc every now and then. Unfortunately i can't spend any more time screwing around with it.

I started having issues with watching movies through Playon (episode list would not load), that combined with hibernating issues with my server convinced me to do a complete reinstall of all programs. Backed up the entire hard drive with programs (after all programs were reinstalled) so next time I don’t have to spend 5+ hours doing this. The comp is as fast as when it was new and no issues with hibernation or playback. Even the speed on the extender seems better when navigating menus. Nothing beats a fresh start if you have tried everything else.

Thanks for the reply but I don't run antivirus on the Sage/Playon box. Anybody know if there is any known software conflicts with Playon (besides antivirus, of course ?

Does Amazon VOD work using this plugin on the HD200 in extender mode? If so, what are the steps to make that happen?

I have Netflix working but can not seem to get Amazon VOD to show any movies in que even though there are several in que according to Amazon's web site.

Now that I can play Pandora, I have a new problem. After an hour or so, Pandora pops up a message about not wanting to play to an empty room. All they ask is that you click the button in the middle of the screen to let them know you are still listening.

How do I click the button?

Is this something I need to figure out in the UPnP2Podcast utility, or is this something I need to figure out in the PlayON ssetup?

Basically you just fill in the login information in the PLayon program. If you cannot browse the categories, then I would fill out a support ticket with Playon. I had a similar issue early on with my setup, and Playon had it corrected in less than 2 hours from me filing a ticket (on a weekend no less).

I also think you have to play a portion of a Amazon VOD video on the playon server at least once. There is a plugin or something similar that needs to be installed in the internet explorer. Once that is done, it should work however.

I just started messing with the PlayOn plug-in and I've come across two problems, not sure if they are related.

The first one has to do with the UPnP2Podcast.exe on a dual-homed box. I routinely have to shutdown the network interface for the network that does not have the PlayOn server in order to get the plug-in to find the PlayOn server. It appears that UPnP2Podcast.exe only broadcasts on one network (perhaps the first found, or some other oder) when looking for the PlayOn server.

The second is that after 8-10 minutes the video will freeze regardless of the source. When I use PlayOn through the Wii they play fine. I am not sure if this is related the the plug-ins issue with running on a multi-homed box or not.

Anyone have similar issues?

Update: PlayOn released an update tonight that fixed the problem! I can now browse my instant que VOD videos.

Commercials were non-existent at first, then they started having short little commercials - 15 seconds.

Now, long commercials of 1 minute and getting longer.

I hate this drug dealer type of getting you hooked.

It looks like with the latest Playon, the :Script: part in the feed lines is no longer needed. Most of those plugin scripts are now natively supported in Playon and the other script manager for those plugins isn't needed.

Also, the Comedy Central ones don't exactly work for me. The one built into Playon is listed now as Comedy Central (Premium Preview) so it isn't finding anything. I tried modifying it but it doesn't like the parentheses. I suppose there is a way to escape around them. The other plugin script deal seems to list the episodes a little differently than in the past. They are now in

Comedy Central / Full Episodes / The Colbert Report/ Week of xxxxx / Date - Episode / then the video file.
