I'd happily subscribe to that.
What if Hulu decided to charge $10 for exactly what they provide for today with no premium addition? What would mostly older movies and mostly older TV shows with 5 episodes of recent shows be worth to you...in standard definition?

Personally as-is I'd pay $4.99(maybe), I'd go to $9.99 with entire season content and up to $14.99 if they offered entire season, new releases and decent HD content. However, at that point I'd have to ask myself why stick with Netflix.

  • I had to rewrite the auto-update stuff so that it could check to see what plug-ins you have before downloading those feeds. Right now I've just got Southpark (which is currently broken) and FoodNetwork. But in the future I plan on taking the feeds people give me and distributing them like this.
  • Put in a workaround specifically for a weird case were a few Netflix movies are showing up in individual folders rather than in the main list.

Can I get a few people to download/install this update then i'll try out a some feed updates/additions over the next few days.
Thanks to the people who tried out my new version, if you've been watching PlayON feeds tonight you should have gotten some feed updates. To check to see if you got them...
  • For everyone: ABC should have the thumbnail for FlashForward and the Brothers & Sisters feed should now pull down videos.
  • Southpark Plug-in: If you have Southpark plug-in installed you should see it under Comedy Central. (The videos aren't working for me, but that's an issue with PlayOn plug-in)
  • FoodNetwork Plug-in: If you have FoodNetwork plug-in installed you should see a new menu item for it on the main page.

Keep in mind for them to show up you may need to leave/re-enter the menu.

Thats funny, I happened to see the FlashForward thumbnail tonight and decided to start watching the series. Didn't realize that was your handy work. I can definitely say that auto-updates are working for me. Just looked and Brothers & Sisters showed up as well. Congrats and thanks, great success here

Alright sweet. Once I get the new PC built I’ll have to try it out.

If I find I really use it a lot, I’ll figure a way to tie in and remote start the PC in the basement with the universal remote upstairs.

Unfortunately, mine has not updated. I had previously installed version 1.3 and am no longer using the STVi (running the most current STV). I replaced upnp2postcast.exe with the test one, still no love.

Make sure you actually went in and watched something. (I think) Mine updated fine but I made sure and started to watch Lost. (As an example. It can be anything.)

Mine is working as well (the download from yesterday), but I still have the upnp2postcast STVi loaded.

Is that no longer necessary?

No. The core SageTV application now supports this plugin fully. Nothing needs to be imported but you need to unzip all the files to the correct directories.

Thanks, Gerry.

EDIT: I've been spending too much time watching TV and not enough time at the forum.

That didn't seem to do the trick either. Does it matter if I edited some of the feeds in the zExtras.properties file?

Everything else works fine: Netflix and Hulu

I assume this works by downloading new properties files directly into the OnlineVideos folder. Maybe I will check my permissions so that isn't preventing the app from replacing the files.

Brothers & sisters shows no video feeds but FlashForward shows some

Try just running UPnP2Podcast manually and then post UPnP2Podcast.log here for me to check out.

The downloading seems to be working and it says its trying to write to the files. Can you delete all of the property files, run it again, and see if it recreates them?

No, it is not creating new files. I searched my drive to see if they were showing up somewhere else and nothing came up.

Here is their normal location on my C drive: C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\OnlineVideos

I'll send you a version with better logging tonight to see if we can figure out why its not working. You're on XP so I can't imagine there would be any permission issues.

edit: Also, here's a place to manually download the feeds if you lost them

Hey, try downloading this build and running the same test (delete my feeds, run the .exe, and post the log).

Do these get updated automatically or do we have to do it manually?
