nope.....same show id..........so far only happened with last night daily show and colbert, both of which were re-recorded...........

for daily show, EP2930531470 for both

moved first recording, thurs night copy flagged favorite, first run, archived
2nd copy friday am flagged favorite, first run

is it possible that sage loses the fact that it was already recorded somehow due to moving it?
(possible bug?) or is this a cockpit error somewhere on my side?

well, i've been running only sage for a while now and it is a joy to work with.

1. i'm using my hd200 as extenders now, not just as stand alone media players........setting up recordings on the hd200 instead of on the laptop with the remote web interface is just so convenient........also watching shows in progress with pause capability is now entrenched in my family's set of expectations for home theater viewing

2. no problems at all with recording reliability (but none with btv before, so no change there).................all hdhr and hdpvr tuners are happy

3. 6 second pause before recording with hdpvr gets rid of annoying noise burst due to channel channel change i was capturing before with firewire stb channel change and btv..............(tried since last january to get btv to add delay to solve this problem)

4. key add-ons here are nielm's web interface and SRE for setting end times that match baseball games (brilliant!!!)

btv is now retired here and i'm in the water completely...........

now just have to wait for the hd300 (with full HD audio output)........

Yes, if/when the HD300 exists, I'm ordering two of them.

Here's hoping.... Christmas would be nice!!!

i'm not as optimistic as i was 3 months ago............the initial quality of the
new 864x based media player (popcorn hour, for example) is pretty low........i'd rather wait until the f/w is at least half-baked

While I can see the appeal for a full HDMI-Audio capable extender, at the same time, if it is priced at $300 or so, it might be just as good to just build an Ion based client.

work around suggested by Sage support, tested and working fine here.

1. i run a script file to move/archive the previous days recorded files at 4am, then stop and restart sageTV
2. at 5am, i have created a daily "favorite" 1 minute recording. this wakes up sage and gets it to recognize that the daily show and colbert were already recorded last night although the files have now been archived.
3. at 5:10am, i run a script that deletes the 1min recording
4. no more duplicate recordings

minor nuisance to see 1m timed recording in 'upcoming recordings' every day
but i can live with that

thanks to sagetv support for the workaround
