Sounds like the plugin has not been installed properly. Please read through previous posts in this thread and make sure that your problem is not one of those that has been previously raised (common errors are mis-spellings, not installing the Java package, putting plugin files in the wrong directory, etc).

If you cannot find a solution after reading through this thread, please repost here and we'll try and help you out.

Regards
Lester

The plugin downloads information when SageTV tells it to. You can take a look at the System Information menu within SageTV to see when the next guide download will take place.

Yes, guide information will download when Sage is in sleep mode.

I'm having a couple problems with the listings.
First: Channel 15 doesn't show up in the list.
Second: Channel 24 and 26 are showing up twice.

Now I checked my zap account and I had selected channel 15.
Channel's 24 and 26 doubles are showing different channel names and guide information..

Please help me fix this..

Thanks,
CMfly

Is 15 listed in the channel setup but without the green dot next to it?

Ahh the green dot helped to get rid of the double channels showing up.

But as for Channel 15 it's not even in the list. It's like it gets lost between zap and the guide. I rechecked my zap and I do have channel 15 selected.

The movies listed in Zap are usually wrong anyway. You'll have to use your stelite remote and switch tot he preview channel or one of the PPV channels and press the info button.

Channel 15 City TV isn't listed in the channel/guide setup.

In zap2itData.xml I have the following entry

<station id='10125'>
<callSign>CITY</callSign>
<name>CITY</name>
<fccChannelNumber>57</fccChannelNumber>
<affiliate>Canadian Independent</affiliate>
</station>

The channel doesn't show up though... How can I fix this, I kinda want to watch that channel sometimes.

Do you have more than one tuner? If you've got say regular cable on one tuner and then satellite on the other, City might have a different number assigned on the satellite than it does on the regular cable. In that case Sage will only show one instance of City even though it's on two channels.

Sweet!! It's too bad cause I have CITY Analogue and CITY digital channel.. So it was listed in another place. Thanks for pointing that out. It's too bad that both can't be listed though.

Thanks soo much for your help. This thing is great!!

Is this something new? The funny thing is, this behaviour only started for me about two weeks ago (cable repeats of sat channles ommitted). In fact, I believe it was after a reinstall of Sage from scratch. I went for months with both instances of repeated channel names on the sat tuner and cable tuner.

Maybe Zap2It changed their naming convention to be consistent?

My EPG Listings

It's happened, 3 times now.... Sunday at 9pm my listings stop. I have to kick the application several times to get traffic from zap2it to flow. Is this a known issue with them or is it just my setup?

For the record, packet traces show a conversation between zap2it and my box, just no listings flowing. After the N'th kick, I get one....

Could be. I only have regular cable so I can't comment. I'll say that *theoretically*, based on how the data feed should work, a station has a unique id no matter who the provider is (Rogers, Bell, Starchoice, etc). Therefore, if you have more than one feed, a particular instance of a station id may show up more than once resulting in Sage 'collapsing" these phyiscally separate channels into one logical channel.

Perhaps zap2it had errors in their data feed resulting in a particular station having more than one id thus having it appear twice in Sage.

The Zap2It subscription expires every three months, as indicated when you signed up at their site. All that is required is that you login to their site and renew your subscription. There's no cost to renew.

There doesn't seem to be any way to renew a subscription, are they stopping the service?

It let me create a new one no problem so I guess I'll just go with that. I never received a renewal email or saw this yellow link they speak of however.
