Love the Christmas themes. WAF is high!

I do have one question. on the Snowman background the bottom is white and it's very hard to read text that shows up on that portion of the screen. In themes is it possible to change Font to Shadowed (like on the main menu) or to change the background of the text area to provide some contrasts.

Specifically, I'm talking about the 'My TV' and individual episode details screen.

Thanks
Rick...

Thanks Rick,
I'm not sure on how to fix the font on the screens. I'm hoping someone with more knowledge on this will comment.

In case anyone wants to make their own theme, I've attached most of the Holiday and Winter backgrounds I'm using in this file.

Is there a way to get the HD200 to show these themes?

I installed it on my WHS server and if I run the gui via RDP it shows up fine, but I use the HD200 to watch TV and the theme doesn't show there. For my Sage Client I figure I would need to install it locally, but the extender is a head scratcher..

You may need to install the theme and layout on the extender separately. Only difference is that the files are already there for you if you've extracted them the proper directory on your server.

I do this on my extenders and have a different theme on different extenders.

Oh My.. how did I miss that! I have a very nice background now..

I tried to change the Layout on my hd200 but I don't see a Customize Screen Layout choice? I just have "display video on menus" and "video menu style" when I hit options on the main menu. Do I have to enable something somewhere first to be able to see the CSL choice? Am I being brain dead on this too?

Change Menu Layout: You should now be at the main menu. Now hit your escape key or options button to get the options menu - select "Customize Screen Layout". Now select "Import/Export Layout>Import All>" and browse to and select the HolidaySleigh.layout" and hit "Yes" [This is optional, but gives you the horizontal layout as you see in the preview for this theme]

These instructions are for the SageMC alternate UI. It sounds like you are using the default UI.

Aloha,
Mike

I guess that means I cannot move the menu choices? (no wonder why none of the instructions seemed right..)

You might have missed this part (the very first part) of the instructions

I am running SageTV 6.5.5. Are you saying it only works with that older version or I am running some different version of SageTv than you are? I went back to the sage store and I am running Sagetv MC for windows.

No. It is confusing so pay attention to the difference between "SageTV" and "SageMC".

SageTV is the software you purchased. When someone is talking about SageTV they typically are talking about the program you and I are both using. Sometimes they call it SageTV Media Center.

Then there is a custom user interface add-on called "SageMC" Normally when someone is referring to SageMC they are talking about this custom add-on interface - not just "SageTV" The requirement for this theme is that you are using SageTV (any version 6.x) AND the SageMC addon version 6.3.8.

Read this article which hopefully will help explain the SageMC add-on for you.

Just wanted to say thanks, kids loved these. I had occasion to inexplicably destroy my HDHR setup last night (one of those WTF?! moments) , and in the process of rebuilding it, I noticed that the little VLC road cone icons in the system tray were also wearing festive Santa hats. God bless us, every one!

Ah, I thought SageMC was shorthand for Sagetv Media Center which is what's sold on their website. Mea Culpa..

Not to worry, it's an often confused thing. Eventually that will be rectified with a name change but for now we'll have to continue to educate the masses on SageTV Media Center versus SageMC STV.
