Thanks Michael

BJkiller did help out today and drop a newer build for me to try but running it the logs report that there are no card detected or graphs built.

When you have time I can pop on gtalk or msn (damian.flynn@gmail.com) and let you see first hand.

Still no luck here. Pretty much dead in the water, Have tried a few different versions of the BDA dirvers for the FireDTV but nothing appears to be detected. SageTV sees these cards and asks to configure, which i just skip.

I am assuming that since my Server OS is X64 that the cards are not been detected and expects to be running on x86.

Hi, I think we need a specific version of the driver... i had dvbe4sage running fine, but after a rebuild i can't get it past

"Error: Could not Build the DVB-S BDA filter grap"

I have the old dead image and am contemplating trawlling the registry to see what version of the driver i was using...

can anyone post a working FloppyDTV driver version ?
thanks, Will

Guys, I really don't know what the problem could be. It does seem to be specific to a driver version of FloppyDTV but, since I don't have such a card, I can't debug it myself.
I'd suggest you to find a previous version of the drive, the one Whitey used before, and start with it.

Thanks,

Michael.

I tried 4 different versions of the BDA divers this evening on the x64 node. DVBViewer has no problems but dvb4sage is not seeing a darn thing.

if anyone has a compile of build 93 or newer for x86 or x64 (prefeered) i would appericate so i can validate the installation is ok.
I am also experiencing the same issues compiling it from the SVN code, basically the header files are missing (afxtoolbars.h, streams.h etc) and compiling fails.
How do you guys manage to build it?
Environment I'm using is visual studio 2008 (VC++).

Thanks!

I think it's the 1108 drivers that work.. when i install the BDA version it shows in Device manager as MCE... strange, but it works... got it working and then i got a Blue Screen.. totalled exchange that i have running on the server, so need to find some time to try again...
I currently have the latest beta BDA drivers running, and they srot of work, it sees the transport stream, but doesn't get all the transponders and won't record anything.

Michael, is there any more development planned, radio support ? some guidance on card readers ? some detailed support matrix for cards ?

it's great when it works, but i havn't thrown out my stb yet ;-)

DVB Radio is supported from point of DVBE4Sage, but SageTV plan to support it only in next version.

Guys, I'm really sorry for lack of response these days, I'm really busy at work...
Whitey/Damian: I really don't know what could have happened with the FloppyDTV support. Whitey, it was working for you for a while, so what has changed? Can you reproduce your working environment? I'll try to add some more diagnostics into the card initialization code, so it might help to troubleshoot this stage. Hope to get to this soon.
Damian: I tried to reach you on Office communicator, but you always appear as away. I'm on it most of the time throughout the day (when not in a meeting)
Svalmorri/Damian: in order to build the code you need: VS 2008 + SP1 (important!) + Windows SDK (preferably 7.0) + DirectShow SDK (the latest). In Windows SDK you need to build the BaseClasses package from the Samples (under Samples\Multimedia\DirectShow) and make sure to update DVBE4SAGE project additional include/lib directories to point to the appropriate locations. If you need futher assistance with building it, please, let me know.

There's not been any change to my set-up apart from updating to the latest sage betas and testing a new demuxer for qian. It has in fact become slighty more stable now. It only crashes every few days, always when tuning a DVB-S2 channel, DVB-S seems fine. At the moment though it's more stable than my stb which has psu issues I think!

Whitey
