With these option set, I don't think channel numbers will work you will have to use the SID

make a backup of you dvbe4sage.ini and try changing these settings as well

[Tuning]
InitialFrequency=10876000
InitialSymbolRate=22000
InitialPolarization=V
InitialModulation=QPSK
InitialFEC=5/6
TuningTimeout=30

enter SID 9313 (Travel Channel - lyngsat says it's freeview)

Have you managed to get it working with freeview?

DVBE4SAGE will not record

Tried those settings and still get the same problem, its as though it doesn't know how to locate the SID, when I put in a channel number it does lots of things like its searching but still doesn't record

I have not managed to get any channels working freeview or encrypted

2010-04-24 15:04:16.486 A short SID specified, assuming default ONID=32
2010-04-24 15:04:16.486 Service SID=9313 on ONID=32 has Name=""
2010-04-24 15:04:16.486 Autodiscovery requested, but cannot find the transponder for SID=9313 on ONID=32 (""), no recording done!

The ONID should be ONID=2 not 32

Have you tried setting you lnb.

[Tuning]
LNBSW=10750000 # or what ever your LNB settings are.
LNBLOF1=10750000 # or what ever your LNB settings are.
LNBLOF2=10750000 # or what ever your LNB settings are.

UseSidForTuning=0
UseNewTuningMethod=1

[Advanced]
PreferSDOverHD=0
BouquetName="BSkyB Bouquet 1 - DTH England"

And tune by channel number not SID. (SID=7700, ONID=2, TSID=2037, Channel=105, Name="FIVE")

If that doesn't work you will probably need one of the UK SageTV user to help you.

edit: there is one more setting you could try

[Tuning]
ScanAllTransponders=1

Thank you for your help, unfortunately it still does not work, could it be a driver problem with the card? I am on WHS

Take a look at http://www.lyngsat.com/astra2d.html

I think that will might help getting your initial frequency correct, which should then give you the correct ONID.

InitialFrequency=10714000
InitialSymbolRate=22000
InitialPolarization=H

Edit: The last log you uploaded looks promising
Couple more things to check -
the user account you are running DVBEnhancer as has full control permissions on the recording folder and you have opened the host based firewall port for port 6969.

Change UseNewTuningMethod to 0 without touching anything else and try again.

Looks like your tuner doesn't really tune to the right transponder (and the second one doesn't even get a lock), please, check whether you don't have any other software using it at the same time and you're connected via a multiswitch.

Second Card has no feed at the moment, I will check on other software, but what is a multiswitch?

Multiswitch is a device with several (usually 4,8 or 16) inputs and 4 outputs, each connected to one of the heads of quad-head LNB. Multiswitch routes each input to the correct LNB head according to the requested tuning parameter combination (polarization and low/high band). For satellites like Astra, where all 4 combinations are used, each tuner must be connected to such a multiswitch and not via a simple splitter and/or DiSeQ.

What do you mean "directly attached to each tuner"? A quad LNB has 4 outputs, each connected to a head. The right way of using it is via a multiswitch, unless you have 4 tuners or less TOTAL in you house (this is including absolutely all tuners, including Sky-provided receivers).
How many tuners do you have and how all of them are connected to the dish?

I don't know how your specific brand of LNB is built, maybe each head has its specific purpose (V-low, V-high, H-low and H-high) and cannot be changed. What I clearly can see is that the transponder your tuner gets tuned to is NOT the correct one (according to the SIDs there, it's 12226H instead of 10773H), both in the beginning and after you start recording of a channel (and it stays on the same trasnponder). I don't know if the reason is LNB or something else, but this is what I see.

Then, again, please, check if nobody else (including Sage itself) uses these tuners. You MUST remove them as used source from Sage setup.

Hi Guys,

I was successfully running DVBViewer Recorder for Sage with SelecTV on a Twinhan Mantis SP400.

However, when I try and run dvbe4sage, i get the error below.

Cannot submit the tune request, error 0x8007006
Error: Could not Build the DVB-S BDA filter graph

Any ideas how I can troubleshoot further?

Cheers

klacker,

You need to make sure no other software uses the DVB card at the same time.

Thanks Michael.

Seems I need to revisit removing the old config first.
