Theme: nBlue for SageMC

Thanks for the offer - I think I can configure drivehq to do HTTP transfer's also. I've never had trouble with FTP in the past though.....

That is until TWC shut down port 21 on my home server. I guess the Sage traffic tripped some kind of alarm, and they are blocking my FTP server at home now. Oh well.

Simply Amazing work!!
Ive had this up and running for a few hours and have been playing with different background images. i love the horizontal text menu!
Ive been using centersage for a while and this just seems like the next level of visual appeal for sage. Great work!!

now i have a question im trying to get the sub menus to have the same image as the main menu but cant figure out how to do this. as I was typing this i thought ob just replacing the image with the same one that should work.. is there a better way?

thanks again for an amazing theme! cant wait to show the wife!

In the SageMC Settings, you can specify a background image. I think its under Global Settings -> Display. IF you specify one there, all the backgrounds from the themes are ignored. Or they should be

IF that doesn't work just go into the theme directory and make sure background.jpg and background_sub.jpg are the same.

Just download the nblue theme. Everything seems to be laid out properly but the screen is black with text in white. Is there a way to change the background to the blue theme. What am I missing here? any help appreciated thanks.

I'm not sure what the problem could be - check the Background Image setting (location is in the post above yours) and clear it if it's not empty. You can also restart the UI - if you are running on an extender this means starting and stopping the SageTV Service on your server......

Please see the sticky at the top of this forum for a patch to v6.3.8 that addresses the black background issue before trying anything else.

I love the theme. Looks great. One question though.
I am not sure if I didn't copy it right, but the guide only shows two colors. Light blue with black text, and dark blue with white text. From what I see in the screenshots, there are supposed to be all type of pastel colors. I do see the red double bars on the edge of the guide, I think indicating the continuation of a show past the screen.
Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to import a menu file for the guide colors to change?

Go into the SageMC settings. You will need to enable that feature.

Ok so I was able to change the background from black to the nblue theme. However the only icon i get is when the DVD option is highlighted. Where do I have to go to get the icons to display?

You will need to assign the icons to each menu item. The easiest way to do this is to follow step 4 from the download page - this basically sets up a new dynamic menu file that is pointing at the correct icons.

The other option is to hit Options while on a menu item you want to assign an icon to, select "Main Menu Options" and then under Edit Item I think there is a "Set Icon" button.

Looks lovely... Though for some reason I cannot get it to work (am sure I am doing something wrong somewhere... It simply does not appear in the themes list.

I am running SageTV version 6.4.8 and SageMC version 6.3.8.

When I look in the C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\SageMCE\Themes directory I also notice that there are two other themes that do not appear in my theme list - Metal Mania and Project X.

Any ideas?

Have you tried scrolling down when the theme list is open? I think there might not be scroll bars on that window but you can scroll down.....

well the wife loved it!! so it has passed the hardest test in the house
the one thing we noticed yesterday was when on the main menu there is no way to get to the now playing window when a video or music is being played, because of the cool way you press the up arrow on an item such as tv or videos to access the side menu this prevents me from being able to get the focus to the now playing window. hope that makes sense

can you think of any work around to this? if not its not a huge deal as i can just go itno a menu such as tv and click it from there

I do understand what you are saying. The "TV" command toggles between whatever menu you are on and the currently playing media. That's the best way to do it. I'll probably remove the restriction on up navigating in HTEXT the next release of SageMC.
