If it's more than 15 seconds, then we have a problem. The current HD100 takes about 2-4 seconds to wake from sleep state to SageTV menu.
No, every time you power it up (power button) it goes through the "Homepage startup" routine. I don't actually recall how long it takes, probably under 15 seconds. Basically it always works like when you hit the Home button on the HD100. Thought it's a bit faster because it doesn't "reboot" completely when you just hit the power button.

FWIW, if you pick sleep from the main menu it will just go to the screensaver and will start instantly.

I ordered two at approximately 2:00 pm yesterday. I got the order confirmation email right away, but I still have not received shipping confirmation. They are probably covered up.

Anyone know when they ran out?

Jesse

As far as I know, my shipment is still in the US... if the box follows the pattern of my last shipment, the next stop after Ontario will be San Jose.

Yeah, I see that for a lot of my shipments. I'm pretty sure it's Ontario, California.

Aloha,

It's not Ontario, Canada. There's a city called Ontario in California, about an hour of driving from where SageTV is shipping. I guess from there it goes north to San Jose, California. So your box hasn't left the state yet.

Yeah, I know, but I couldn't resist playing around to see if my mention of Ontario being on the west coast of the US would catch anyone...

Got mine this afternoon! I ordered it next day first thing Monday morning at 6 am .

Working well so far. I like the small footprint. I actually have it sitting on its side next to another component. No buttons nor an on-off switch make it much more streamlined than the HD100.

appelm,

What is your opinion of the speed of the UI? I use Dynamic Menus and Unsupported Extras (specifically Malore recordings) and the HD100 is quite slow. My wife complains about the horrible speed.

I don't want to gamble with ANOTHER $200 on the HD200 when I already have two HD100s.

Any chance someone could run a comparison of the speed with these options turned on (or installed as the case may be) and how they compare with runing on a native PC?

Thanks!

Stacy

Ontario is the SoCal Air hub for UPS. Lots of Brown Planes on the tarmac. Drove past it on Saturday on the way to Pasadena. I ordered mine on Sunday night, Monday night I got the email saying it was shipped, but as of a few minutes ago it didn't appear to have shown up at UPS, just the info. And I says I am supposed to receive mine on the 2nd... er that was today.. Scheduled Delivery: 02-December-2008
didn't see it when I arrived home tonigh .. oh well. I live about 75 miles south of LA

Holy Crap, they did run out already. That's unbelieveable, unless they are losing $5 on every sale they need to replace their business planning folks...

Same here and I placed my order late Sunday (or was it early Monday). And of course I'm on the east coast so I don't expect it until next week.

Its definitely faster. I noticed a difference right away. I don't use the malore recordings menu (though I used to). I'll try them to out to see how they are when I get a chance.

BTW: If you miss your post in this topic, check the rest of the Media Extender forum. This thread seems OK for generic comments, but topics about specific things may get moved to a separate thread or else they just get lost among all the other posts in this thread. (I just moved the playon posts to their own topic, for example. PAL was moved out earlier.)

I ordered 3 of these at 8:14 am PDT on Dec. 1 - I received an order confirmation email but no shipping confirmation yet. Since I ordered rather quickly will I definitely get a unit or is it possible that I will have to wait for the next shipment?

Hopefully if doesn't take too long to ship from Ontario, CA to Ontario, CA(nada)
