The latest version improved the accuracy of 30 second skipping through my HD-PVR recordings but the accuracy was very poor for analog recordings on a PVR-150. I had to back it out since trying to skip through a PVR-150 recording was putting me at random places throughout the mpeg.

It does work much better with ffdshow audio decoder. However, live TV still doesn't work quite right with both ffdshow and AC3Filter. The timeline still freezes when I first start playing pack live TV at the startup point. If I skip forward or back, it goes back to the initial start point. After that initial skip the timeline starts advancing and skipping forward and backward work correctly. I didn't do a scientific study, but it seemed like with H264 (both cyberlink and arcsoft for video) I had to skip a couple times before things sync'd up correctly. Thanks for all your work Donkey. I hope you can get this all working seamlesly. I've been running into a lot of problems lately skipping around with the release demux. |

Any chance this is with the 1.0b drivers for the HD-PVR? Switch to the new release drivers from Hauppauge and it should work, although your recordings made with the 1.0b drivers will still not playback.

It was with the 1.0.3.53 driver. I hadn't noticed that the 1.1 driver was out. I will give that a try.

This one works a lot better. I haven't been able to try it with ffdshow, but at least with the sagetv mpeg codec, live TV works in both sd and hd. The only problem I've found is that it is possible to basically confuse the timeline. Basically if the buffer is really small (say under 20 sec) and you reverse, and then fast forward, hitting fast forward from that point will actually take you to the beginning of the file and reverse will advance you to the beginning of the buffer, and this continues throughout the file. It seems to be fine, if you let the buffer build up at least a minute or two before timeshifting.

How do you have the driver setup (in TME) for audio? AC3 or AAC?

Thanks for the new file! So far it seems to be fixing my random crashes when switching channels. I'm still able to watch recordings made with the old HD-PVR driver.

I'm running Vista Ultimate x64 on my client and no matter what combination of DX filters I use SageTV crashes whenever video playback is stopped. It seems to be fine up to stopping playback though.

I just had to revert back to the original demux. In live TV, the beta caused the timeline indicator to stop advancing while the actual display kept on advancing as normal (As if video was paused). After long enough this would cause a skip forward to go backwards.
For example, while watching live TV, the timeline display might show that 45 minutes have been recorded but the current time would be stuck at 1 min. If a 2 1/2 minute skip forward was pressed you would go backwards to minute 3 1/2. Sage would also crash at the end of the show. S |

I'm seeing the exact same behavior, but could not figure out how to word it, thanks.
Except, at the end of each show, Sage kind of crashes, but it's not catastrophic. If I'm watching a show live when it ends, the picture freezes and the audio just hangs giving a reverating tone. But, if I hit stop, and then go back to live TV, it works again. I have confirmed that the Always Tune Channel setting is set to No as well. I've only seen this on the HD PVR, but I'm not certain I've watched anything to the end of the show on any other tuner. It was a bit of a pain during the football game, when the broadcast was supposed to end, but the game was still on and it hung on me! Cyberlink PDVD 7 h.264 decoder here, just as an FYI. Quote:

The latest file with ffdshow audio pauses when a new live tv file starts. If you stop and go back to the file it works fine.

Here is an Update file (version 2.0.1.14) again

For me SageTV still crashes consistently every time playback of an HD-PVR recording is stopped. It happens sometimes when playback of HDHR recordings are stopped but does not happen every time.

Would you right click on the file, choose Properties, then select the Version tab to double check that you have the 2.0.1.14 version? If you downloaded it before I updated some links, you might still have the old one.

I downloaded it again just to make sure. I don't have a version tab. The date stamp on the file is now from today.
