My wife and kids got used to the default, but once I changed to MC they loved it within 2 days. Now they hate it when I revert back with an install of a new version of Sage and forget to change the STV back. They'll call me at work complaining that Sage is "broken" because they can't find things. I really expected I'd get those calls after moving to MC in the first place.

Actually I was thinking of that. Somehow it seems sort of twisted to make a custom STV that mimics the default STV, but hey - it makes sense for those that prefer the default STV but want some of the SageMC-only features. And as you say, it allows for a slow transition to changes.....

For me, I'm torn between the very cool features of SageMC and the changes in the default STV that take time to implement before we see them in SageMC. I guess personally I'd rather see a maintenance release to fix the Online Videos and to be able to record podcasts versus any new features that might be in the works. I wish I could program and help you guys out but I has no mad skills.

What features, if any, do you guys miss the most from the default STV as it exists today, including Beta?

I too just tried going back to SageMC merely for the Netflix plugin.. In the end it just wasn't worth it. I went back to the default STV with Dynamic menus and am much happier. I just use my browser for Netflix when I want to watch it.

What's missing from the default SageTV STV in SageMC? I know the online videos isn't updated with the latest version, but is there something else?

It's not what it's missing...it is just that the Default STV is easier to update... I think that SageTV default has caught up and surpassed most of the features that SageMC had to offer. Other than the customizable graphics there really is not any difference that you cannot do in the default STV with a few STVI customizations.

The next SageTV version has a modification to that menu in the default STV too now.

Default STV can save any podcast that you view. Helpful if you want to watch a video later or want to download all of an HD show first and then watch sometime later.
