just a friendly bump since I saw another thread go up recently. Has anyone pinpointed this problem yet?

I haven't tried to fix in a while because I haven't moved into my new home yet. However, it sounds like people are switching their resolutions on their STB. My Direct TV HR-20 has been outputting at 1080i, and I have my hd100 set to the same. Anyone else get a fix or response from a bug submition?

Well I thought my problem was resolved but it is not. I am getting a slight pixelation (or video stutter) every 5-10 seconds.

I am also seeing this problem. My HD-100 plays everything fine except recordings from the HD-PVR. I just got my HD-PVR, updated everything to the latest beta. I am going to play around with the video output settings on the cable box to see if that does anything. I am running with RCA at the moment.

I am having the same problem and thought that it was something to do with the SageTV client taking up to much resources during playback??? I know that I have seen the stutter start and then I closed the client and re-opened it and it would go away. I will do some more tinkering and see if it is coming in from live TV to troubleshoot this. Has anyone else seen this behavior of restarting and it seems to go away.

I also thought that it could be a delay in writing to the disk because I have 3 streams coming in.

1 SD Television
2 HD Television (1 HD PVR and 1 OTA HD)

Any thoughts?

I just want to be sure...
When you say you bumped up the resolution from 480i to 1080i, are you talking about on the STB or in SageTV. Some folks seem to think that bumping it up to "Best" recording quality is what everyone is talking about. I don't think that will change the resolution but rather the compression quality...

I think I have noticed multiple different issues, but I haven't seen the small stutter/pixeling recently: Now, all my problems are sound dropping out and picture stopping completely, and occur after I fast forward, or pause or rewind, see link:

I have also duplicated a similar problem with windows media player and Coravc decoder on another pc, so not sure what is going on here. This is amazingly complicated!

I bumped up the video output from the cable STB from 720P to 1080i, same thing. I have my STB configured to output 480p on normal stations, those play fine, its only the programs in HD that cause problems.

Any updates on this issue? I notice a stutter every 5 seconds, but only on 720p recordings. I have a DirecTV sat box (H23) attached to the HD PVR and have it set for native resolution passthrough (the H23 outputs whatever resolution the particular channels produces). On channels that output 480 or 1080, the captures are clean. For channels that send 720p, the stutter happens about every 5 seconds. The sound doesn't appear to be affected, only the video.

This was covered in another topic.

Ahh, I see. Here's hoping the next Hauppauge update corrects the issue.
