I really am driving blind with this software, I guess that is how you learn though.
Just to help me understand the issue, here's your original post on this issue:

I have told sage to look at both of my old recording locations for its "media import" but it doesn't find all of my files. Some of them are mpg's some are divx avi's and it doesn't see any of my .wmv files.
Benny,
Are you running SageTV as a service?
Where are these missing video files located? Is it on the local PC where SageTV server is located or on an external drive or PC on the network?
Are there some files on that same drive that are being imported and others that aren't?
Can you check the SageTV log file to see if it gives any clues as to why it isn't being imported? The log file is located in SageTV/SageTV directory.

I don't think so. I am just launching this from my desktop.

All files are located on two internal drives on the server

about 120 of the 240 files from the first hd location are coming in while none from the second appear.

I will check when I get home.

What I'm wondering is if the files that aren't importing are in a directory that SageTV doesn't see as an import directory. If you have 1/2 coming in and 1/2 that aren't all in the same video directory then we can narrow down for certain that it just isn't seeing those particular video files due to the file type or extension. If all files from a certain directory aren't being imported then SageTV might not have that video directory set up properly.

OK so lets forget about the second directory that is not getting any files. We can chalk that one up to just not being setup correctly.

But on the original directory I am stumped. Now that I look into it I am thinking that it is missing some mpg's as well as all the wmv's. Could the import process be hanging on one of the files in the first directory stopping it from finishing and then moving onto the second?

I will check that log ASAP.

Once you review the log, look for anything that references the import directory. It might also show something about import failed

How to enable debug logging is explained in this FAQ.

OK The video import issue was fixed by moving to the beta version of Sage. It seems like I am very close to getting this system converted from BTV.

I am really appreciative of BTV I spent a lot of time with them and it really got me into the the HTPC as a main TV source. (heck I used to be a Showshifter user if you remember that)

Sage really seems to be where it is at for me now. I have purchase the server license and client as well as the HD100. All is working now. I even have my HD PVR up and working almost perfectly on all devices!

Of course there is a "but". My HDHR is simply not working with the beta version of sage. VLC can view my quam channels without issue but Sage just says "no signal" I have deleted the sources but can't seem to make it work anymore. I will tinker with it some more.

I do have one question though, Is there a way to run vm9r without 3d acceleration? I think I am doing it with my pc client but it seems that I am tricking it into it.

Overall I love sage especially with the HD PVR. It is so nice to have things like ESPN and the like in actual HD. Finally got to watch my baseball team in actual HD
