Demo,
In PAL it looks great on S-Video. You've sorted this out really quickly which is brilliant. Many thanks, David |

I have installed the new beta without any problems and now have the HD100 setup to start-up at 720p@50hz over HDMI.
Picture looks great, but I have noticed the audio stopped working through the analogue L+R's after the update, HDMI audio works fine though. Thanks for your effort in getting this sorted

Thanks for the update.
I have tested it via HDMI to two different HD TVs (I have two HD Extenders) and both work fine - one at 720P and one at 1080P 50hz. |

Totally agree. I think many people use beta and expect release quality. I expect everything close to, but not including, my Extender blowing up My issues may be gone by release. Just wanted to highlight them.

I might be wrong in some of my assumptions. But this is how I understand the situation as of now. Don't be afraid to correct me, that's how I learn new stuff

This is much better
I did find a few things though, which seem to clarify a few points that came up before. If during the extender boot setup I tell it the TV is capable of 576p and 1080i, it will always boot into 576p With 'Native Output Resolution Swicthing' enabled in setup-detailed setup-multimedia, all of my sources will switch it to 1080i. They are the pvr350 and dbv-s (HD and non-HD). As everything switches it to 1080i, I changed it so that it would only allow 1080i in the extender boot setup. It then booted straight in at 1080i. If I go to setup-detailed setup-multimedia, 'Native Output Resolution Swicthing' is no longer there - I expect this is because there are no other resolutions that you can switch to. The question is, have I set it up correct, with only 1080i selected in the extender boot setup? |

It's not very obvious but in this screen where you are setting up the available resolutions, if you press the remote control video out key, it switches to the "current resolution" and makes it the default.

I am having a problem with the new beta version, PAL and spdif.
I am trying to view using HDMI/COMPOSITE and to output sound via SPDIF. It does not output sound to SPDIF at all. Has any one come across this problem???? I have not used any other versions of the beta, and I have gone streight to PAL, since i just got my HD-1000, so I do not know if its a problem, only in the PAL mode. I did search the forums, and came up empty.

I'm using HDMI for video and SPDIF for audio and running in PAL mode.

I tried to enable PAL mode several times now, but I can't get it to work. I actually did the switch with the first beta firmware with PAL support, but I had to change back due to some other reason.
But with the latest firmware I’ve not been able to switch back to PAL again. Can someone help me with a detailed tutorial on this? Please |

Have you tried the PAL section in the STX-HD100 manual?
