Yes, playing HD will very likely demand far greater HP than Internet Video. A typical HD file for a one-hour show is 6 Gigabytes. Your show is likely under one Gigabyte. This is only one of several factors (type of encoding, etc.), but should give you an idea that it is a different animal.
Can't comment on the 1650pro, and I see one person on forum that has used it successfully...... ...but this IS the essence of this game.....getting your PC to smoothly play back HD without stutter, judder, tearing, etc. I have spend many painful hours trying to get there, and recommend you find more than one person successfully using a card......and don't forget about the CPU they are using too. The most "recent" card may offload more of the decoding from the main CPU and maybe you can sneak by. There is a Radeon 3650 that is AGP too. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131097 You are aiming at a card (1650pro) that is many generations old, to run with a very weak CPU.....you should be concerned about end-success. Hope that someone else weighs in on AGP/CPU combos that work with HD. |
