Mike,

I'm having the same issue all of the sudden. I have Auto Load DVD Profiler Meta-Data disabled.

I know the problem will go away if you disable the periodic scan of your import folders, but I'm not sure what the actual issue is yet. I thought the DVD Profiler Autoload was the culprit, but I guess not. Please let me know if you figure anything out.

Aloha,
Mike

I had the same issue awhile back. I had to disable automatic media import directory scanning. Link to original thread with advice below:

I also had this issue but its seems to come and go. I have "Load DVD Profiler Meta-Data" disabled as of a couple of days ago it hasn't come back but its been about 3 weeks since I've seen it. It used to pop up at the most annoying times like there was somebody hitting the info button. The WAF went down thought the HTPC was haunted. I know it no help but i see this intermittently.

This happens to me - but I think it only happens if the scanner finds a new file in the library and I am watching a video from the library at the time.

Sorry for the slow response Mike - had to go to hospital to get my appendix removed

I did what you initially suggested and that cleared it up. I haven't seen it for the couple of movies I've watched since that.

Gary.

OSD keeps popping up for no apparent reason

On my server during playback I've suddenly started having issues where every few minutes the on-screen display will pop up. It stays up until I hit the info button to manually take it off again, despite the fact that it's set to go away after 3 seconds. If I hit Info to pop it up on purpose, it goes away in 3 seconds like it's supposed to. But when it randomly pops up on its own, it never goes away on its own.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Just found this thread on a search, so I'm going to try the suggestions listed in that thread and will post back if that doesn't solve it.

Info panel keeps popping up every few minutes

This one is really annoying. Every few minutes during ANY viewing activity, the Info panel pops up and doesn't go away until I press the button on the remote.

This started suddenly about 2 weeks ago, at a time when there were no changes to the system. It's a dedicated PC, which does nothing but act as a Sage Client. There is no other software installed other than the drivers needed for the system.

I've disconnected the keyboard and removed the IR mapping for Info from the SageClient.Config file, but the problem still occurs. It happens during TV, DVD and Web Media playback, and is recurrent every 5-15 minutes, but not on any regular interval.

Does anyone have any clues that would help me fix this? Thanks!
