Actually the more I think about it, the more I'd like to see this import working in STV 6.6. As I look at the imported code in Studio, it's a pretty straightforward customization.
It would seem that the fact that it isn't working at all for me would indicate a pretty simple issue, and I'm wondering if I've configured it wrong, or if something simple changed in 6.5 or 6.6 that could be addressed by a minor change to the code in Studio to make it work. Does anyone have thoughts on if this import should work with a manual import of XML into Studio? Also, does anyone know of changes in STV 6.5 or 6.6 that may affect whether the touchscreen bar would render at all? I've looked at the PDF release notes for Studio and didn't see anything that seemed applicable. |

I didn't use this much before upgrading to V7, but it did work on V6.6. I wish I could offer more, but the fact is that I rarely used it on my kitchen touchscreen. Turns out that I don't watch much SageTV there.

Thanks, that helps. Do you know if the XML can simply be imported to the studio to make it work?

I always just imported it as an STVi.

Does this work in V7? I attempted to 'import' this and was unsuccessful. Is there a trick to it? Are there any other options for touch screen interfaces out there?

I believe this is an addin for SageMC, are you using SageMC on Sage7 - (SageMC is/was an alternative user interface for Sage. It is somewhat obsolete as there are new alternative designs being created for Sage7 - namely Ortus and Phoenix)? I used to use this touchscreen addin but I believe it stopped working with one of the later versions of V6 - I will try adding it in and see it it works on V7.

I had put in SageMC, just to see if I could get this to go in... but I think I prefer other designs. My biggest problem is that the new v7 UI is not very touch screen friendly and would be nice to have an alternate UI for this one Client in the kitchen. Let me know if you can get it to go in. I tried importing the .xml file as a STV, but that does not seem to work.

Maybe I did something wrong but trying to install this has kind of hosed my Placeshifter client. I went into settings on Placeshifter, clicked load STV as there doesn't appear to be a Load STVi anymore and ever since then Placeshifter won't run.

You'll need to go and remove that file... It should default back to the other STV.

This is a STVI and you need to import it. Not load it as a STV. And STVI import should still be possible. Especially if you use this with SageMC. Which it was designed for.

Can someone gives some exact steps? If I go to load an STVi in SageMC for V7, you go to Sage Options, it loads the default STV automatically, you say 'import' and it puts this in the default STV, not the SageMC STV. So there must be some way of forcing it in? Or manually copying in the xml?

Make sure you are in the SageMC settings screen and NOT the default Detailed Setup screen. I thought SageMC has its own settings screen. Or it may be a bug.
