I saw the same behaviour with Sage6.4.3 and the latest SageMC, and AMG1.3 with or without the CC plugin. I even reverted back to the base SageMC169.xml file and only installed AMG1.3 and had the problem. I just went back to AMG1.2 and it works fine with the CC plugin.

Sorry, should have been more clear. I have never installed any version of cc, so that can't be the issue for me. I'll try 1.2.

No, you were perfectly clear. I was saying that I had the same problem that you had with 1.3, but that I normally use the CC plugin and that there was an known conflict with CC and 1.3 so I even tried to use 1.3 without the CC plugin and it still didn't work. So, I went back to 1.2 and it worked without the CC plugin, and then when I installed the CC plugin, it still works.

Ok, finally getting back into but I can't find version 1.2, just the latest 1.3, which I cannot navigate up and down. Anyone have a link?

AMG Problem

Can someone help me with installing/activating the AMG. I've tried to follow the directions on the download page but when I get to:

in SageMC, goto My Menu -> Settings -> SageMC -> Main -> Screen Specific options -> Video OSD -> Miniguide Style : select "External STVi"

clicking on the Miniguide Style, or any of the other buttons on the Video OSD menu page does not appear to do anything. Specifically I don't get an option to select "External STVi". What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

The AMG is now updated to work with version 6.3.8 of SageMC.

Download it here.

Hi btl, there's a huge version change from 1.3 to 2.0 Are there any new features or substantial changes that we need to know about? All I see is that it is compatible with SageMC 6.3.8.

I vaguely remember you mentioning that you wanted to mold both AMG and the simple miniguide into a supermini guide.... are you still planning on doing this?

The only real change on the AMG is that it animates in and out - that is mainly a change that the core propegated out tall all miniguides.

I'm thinkin' about a super mini guide, but haven't finalized in any way what I want to do in that regard. Next on my plate is a theme.

Excellent work - just got 2.0 installed and I love it. Have a few first-timer questions though:

1) On my server, the "focus channel" background is completely clear (where the episode description is). On my HD100, the background is colored and looks great. Any idea why it's not showing up on the server? (I'm seeing the video playing through in the background, which makes the episode description text extremely hard to read).

2) In the settings, if I select to use guide coloring, it seems to be using my chosen guide coloring for all shows except for the ones that just have a "default" blue color. Those show as blue above and below the focus channel, but switch to orange when it's the focus channel. Is it supposed to use the guide coloring for only the "non-standard" colors, and whatever is set in the AMG (orange for now) when focused on anything with the default coloring?

3) Is it possible to change the delay on the AMG so that it's separate from the delay on other OSDs? I have it set to 3 seconds across the board, because when I change channels or first start watching a show, I don't like to have to wait 5 or more seconds for the OSD to close. But 3 secs doesn't seem to be long enough on the AMG. Or what about a "don't close" option that doesn't time out at all, but lets you close it by using the left arrow?

--EDIT-- Looks like I found this in a setting in the SageMC settings. At least to allow it to not time-out at all. Still would be interested in a delay separate from the global OSD delay.

4) If I switch from descending to ascending (where the higher number channels are at the bottom of the guide, it goes "backward" when scrolling up and down. For example, if I'm focused on channel 5, and the channel above it is 2 and the one below it is 11, hitting the down arrow actually focuses on channel 2, not 11.

--EDIT-- I was able to fix this by changing a setting in SageMC settings as well. So if I'm understanding this correctly, in order to completely swap from low/high to high/low numbering, you have to do two separate things - switch from descending to ascending in the AMG popup options, and also switch the setting in the SageMC settings, correct?

5) For coloring, I see in the instructions info on properties for the theme.properties file. I can't find where that is. Is that info only for theme creators who are creating that file themselves, or is there somewhere that I can find where I can set or adjust those properties?

Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Is there a way to "uninstall" the AMG?
I had meant to install the SMG but made a mistake.
(I would rather hack the SMG xml file than go back to an earlier SageTV installation if I can.)

Thanks,

Mitch

When you install the AMG, it creates a new version of the STV you are running. For instance, if you were running the stock SageMC, you went from SageMC_169.xml to SageMC_169-1.xml. So just load the previous .xml file (LOAD - not import) to go back to the previous version without the AMG.

I'm not sure why it would behave differently - however if you bring up the options menu there are settings for the Alpha - change those to get it where you want it.

Yes - that is how it works.

Yep - the setting in the AMG popup controls the display order. The SageMC setting controls the navigation.

The theme.properties file is in one of the subfolders located here :
C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3\SageMCE\Themes

You can change it as much as you like.

Looks like the FTP server is down right now - I'll have a look when I get home.
