Wish I could say they are my icons, but alas I got them from:
http://www.iconharmony.com/icons/

They work great though, and I like the looks of them. Randy (the author) will also make missing icons upon request.

Thanks for looking into it!

WOW - that's a nice set of icons! I might have to switch over - just for the consistency...

New user to SageTv and the use of plugins. Could someone update the install instructions for SageTV V6.3.10. - Thank you.

I have tried to follow the current instructions and apply them to this current version but made the entire menu go blank (black).

Thanks in advance for the help,

This plugin is designed only for use with the SageMC alternate interface. Are you trying to import it into the default interface (STV)?

Mike

Yes, the default installation. Do I need to download the alternative?

Thanks,
Andrew

Yes, this plugin will only work with SageMC.

If you are stuck with a blank screen, exit SageTV and open the sage.properties file in your ...\SageTV folder. Delete the line where the STV is specified a few lines down from the top. Save the file and start SageTV. You should then have the default UI back.

Aloha,
Mike

How can I get the Mini guide to be semi-transparent like in your demo picture?

It uses the overall setting of SageMC OSD transparency.

Goto Settings-SageMC-Screen Specific-OSD and look for the Alpha Transparency value. I think the default is 200. Just lower that and the AMG will do the same.

AMG - Channels not going up or down

Hi,
I installed the latest AMG (1.3) yesterday.
Also I installed the latest SageMC yesterday (SageMC16x9 6.3.7a) and I have Java v1.6.0.3 on top of the latest SageTV (I am still in trial period)

I like AMG but one piece of the functionality is not working.

When pressing up or down button AMG shows up (check attachemnt AMG 1)

When pressing Right the time in the AMG moves forward and when I press left it goes backwards and then finally AMG disappears from the screen

What is not working is that I can not move the channels up or down, either with keyboard buttons (up/down, page up/page down, mouse movement or third button scrolling). Clicking with a mouse on any entry does not work either.

However all of these movements on the option menu are working. (check attachment AMG options)

Any suggestion?

any other plugins added? maybe the closed caption playback plugin?

There is an issue with some plugins not playing nicely. Both plugins use the up/down keys for different functions and they don't always play nicely. IIRC, there was a CC update to help minimize the problem.

Thanks Jack,
Yes I added CC plugin.
What is the best way to remove specific plug in?

Or should I just disable the plugin, will this help?

Do you know wher can I find the update for Closed Caption Plug in by JREkiwi

is the update to the cc plugin. I haven't tested it myself, so I don't know if it works.

As for removing a plugin. What sage does is everytime you import an stvi into your STV, it increments the filename of the stv by one. so, if you started with SageMC_169.xml, you'd now have SageMC_169-1.xml, and so on. If you can remember the order you imported your plugins, you could just roll back to that -* version of the file. But normally, I just go all the way back to the original file and then reload all my imports.

Thank you very much.
I started from scratch and used the updated CC plugin, imported AMG first and then all the others.
And everything works

Installation

I can't see how to get this running??? I have put the files (STVs and Jars) into SageTV\SageTV. Withing STVs is included the SageTV3 folder and some others. There is not stvi folder on the *.xml. I have tried importing it both ON the SageTV server and with the Placeshifter client. I cannot import it because it doesnt' give me an option to import because it isn't an stvi file. Any help is appreciated.

First question would be if you are using SageMC or the defaultUI. You are a first time poster, so you may not be aware that SageMC does not equal SageTV Media Center. SageMC is a custom UI that replaces the original interface.

SageMC uses .xml files for its imports, while the defaultUI uses .stvi files.

SageMC

Hey thanks for the reply. Can you tell me a little about what is different about SageMC as opposed to the default? I am working on customizing but I'm still new with Sage, I am a former BeyondTV user but made the switch because of the placeshifter client (which I love).

Thanks!

There is so much different, I couldn't even start to describe it.

Basically, there is a ton of added functionality in SageMC. Many of the the individual plugins for the defaultUI have been incorporated into SageMC. SageMC is visually different from the defaultUI, closer to Windows Media Center.

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/down...do=file&id=141 is the link to the install package, look at the pics there.

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17979 is the main thread for SageMC. There is a lot of info in there.

I am running into the same issue as sreckop, but I've never messed with the cc plugin. I am running 6.4.5 and the latest sagemc. The mg appears correctly, and I can go left-right, but not up-down. Everything else appears functional, options, ascending/descending, etc.

any ideas?
