Questions about Servers, Tuners and Media Extenders

That depends... remote clients (Placeshifter + extenders) can get the default value for a setting from the server's sage.properties file if it doesn't already exist in the remote client's property file. So, if you run the server in non-service mode (so it uses sage.properties) & confiure the UI there, you might get most or all of those settings carried over the first time you use an extender. Once a setting is customized on an extender, that setting is then saved to & loaded from its own properties file.

I'm curious if there is a way to default the extender properties from the server if Sage IS running in service mode.

I'm just starting out and have some questions:

I started with an old laptop. I have a USB Analog/Digital tuner and a wireless MVP. The system is working fine (except for Placeshifter outside my local router, but that's another thread!).

Can a laptop system support multiple USB tuners? Or do I need to migrate to a desktop?

Can a wireless system support more than one MVP simultaneously, or do I need to run cable to the bedrooms?
