Ah, I see what you mean now. This is different as it changes via a morph animation as your viewing the screen and not inside an options menu.

Now I think about it, having used the volume button inside an options menu wasn't a good idea for those who also use that key to operate their AV audio equipment.

Thumbs up This theme rocks!

Hi Bialio, this theme seems to be the most popular theme that was never released.... and my favorite in this forum thread. What ever happened with this one? I just bought an HD200 and me and my wife agreed this would be best for our living room. Could you please make a download? Even if its not 100% perfect?

The layouts are basically the same, but the graphics and colors look better for the menu items. I also really like the submenu design... (IMHO).

That is an early version of nBlue - I don't think any of the graphics that are different exist anymore.

You should be able to tweak the colors in nBlue to match - I think that version was using black as the option menu color (largely transparent) where the final nBlue uses a shade of grey.....

It's a starting point. I like clean layouts, but I may dress up the sub menus and backgrounds a bit. I'm also thinking about adding the RSS ticker somewhere on the main screen in the "preview" area between the rotating menu and horizontal divider.

I'm also using CenterSage. I like how you modified the look of the guide. How can I change the color of the background for the channel logos/numbers? Also would you mind sharing your show icons? THANX!

I've just about wrapped up the first step of an OSD replacement for nBlue - it is so far the MiniGuide, Info Popup, and TimeBar.

The volume bar and DVD OSD aren't done yet, but I'll get to those in a subsequent release.

It's roughly based on the SMG (Simple Mini Guide), although as with most of the nBlue stuff it's square without the rounded edges. I'm failry sure it'll be called the SimpleOSD when I release it.

Here's my first dabble into replacing internal screens - I really like jaminben's TV Info Screen - and wanted the Grouped TV Screen to match. So here it is :

Obviously I'm reusing some of the effects from jaminben's import - when he drops it maybe I'll pick it up

Looking good You can pick it up now if you want as I'm going to try and make a complete set of imports from scratch which will carry a theme over quite a few screens. Obviously I'm just starting these and it'll be awhile before its out and I didn't want to spend too much time with the old imports if any at all.

Also variety is the spice of life and you have a good eye for design judging by your previous imports so welcome to the party

It is very similar to the GRS by jamin'.

The main reason I can't use the GRS is that I've got a lot of recorded shows with long episode names (cartoons mostly) - so it ends up truncating a good portion of the name. This bothers me

It bothers me quite badly as well. I spent quite alot of time trying to make the focused items text scroll horizontally but it never worked as I was still limited by the parent widgets size and you'd still end up with shrinking text which looked worse IMO.

What we need is an external java api that will allow the use of srolling text that isn't limited by the parent widgets overall size. This could also be incorporated into the synopsis panels so if the text is also too long it can scroll down automatically and back up again.

Anyone else have any other ideas regarding this issue? I will never use text shrinking as that just looks plain awful. Maybe someone could write an api, wink, wink

Ben you can grow larger than the other items you just have to do some tricks. Look at my movie wall the selected movie grows larger than all the others

Yea thats not what I'm after. Its hard to explain and the best way is to try for yourself using Studio and the RSS ticker. Open it up and reduce the width of the RSS parent widget, wait for a large feed to come along and you'll see the text shrink to fit the newly sized box. It will always shrink, if you disable shrink you'll end up with "Blah blah b.......". I tried loads of things wrong text sized to ignore parent properties, nothing worked.

See my original post here.

I see what you are saying but this is still possible. You might overlay the top and bottom when selected but ignoring themes like you said won't fix it.

You can

a. se the unfocused items smaller
b. set up each item as it's own widget much like the imovies import but what you are wanting can be acomplished to some extent.
