Definitely open a support ticket. They just replied to mine saying it is a cable issue. I think your right about the connection/grounding. Maybe the connection between the HDMI port and the PCB is not good.

Just got my HD200 and I'm having the exact same issue. I've tried 3 HDMI cables (including a 1m bluejeans cable) and all have had issues with 1080p ranging from no picture to flickering picture to dancing dots. Each of these cables worked fine for 1080P from my PC. Wiggling the cable on the back of the HD200 does seem to make a difference which has me worried. I'm going to submit a trouble ticket but if I don't hear about a resolution to this problem soon I'm afraid the HD200 will be going right back.
