just got the gyration remote and keyboard. The remote works great with Sage and winxp pro. My only complaint is that I can't customize a button to open Sage or minimize/maximize Sage like the green button on the Hauppauge remote. Is there any way to do this? Others mentioned the gyrotools, but this did not come with the remote and is $99 on gyrations website.

BTW, doing a search on this remote brought up some interesting info. Apparently this company designed the Wii remotes. :-)

Picked this remote up at PC Alchemy for $29 and it seems to be working great. Only problem is that I installed Sage on an XP MCE operating system and when I press many of the buttons, it calls up Windows MCE on top of Sage.

Example: I press the dedicated "music" button while watching live TV in Sage. MCE opens to My Music. I exit MCE and Sage is underneath it, also on my Sage Music folder.

Any suggestions as to how I can fix this without going through the pain of reinstalling my OS?

Other than that, I'm loving this remote, especially at this price!

You need to disable the ehtray.exe process. (I think I renamed the file or the directory it's in or something.) And I got the same remote and what a great price from PC Alchemy.

Thanks for the tip--I'll try it out tonight when I get home. If I can get that working, I'll be well on my way to a perfect setup!

I renamed ehtray and that did the trick. I see now that I should have been looking in the Sage MCE remote thread. For future Gyration remote users, here is my summary-

1--the Gyration remote worked perfectly for me out of the box, except that it kept calling up MCE. Your mileage may vary, but I'm thrilled with this thing!
2--I found it for only $29 at PC Alchemy. At this price, it's a steal. Run, don't walk!
3--You can make the special buttons on the Gyration work by going to Setup--> Detailed Setup --> Controls and then setting the remote type to Windows MCE.
4--If you are using Windows XP MCE or Vista, you may find that pressing any of the special MCE buttons calls up MCE. You can stop this by following the directions in these two posts. Make the MCE Remote work for Vista. Make the MCE Remote work for XP MCE.

Hope that helps future users. Enjoy!
