Wasn't running service mode on any of the systems, though I did try it once. There were no 3rd party firewalls installed on any of these systems and the Windows XP Firewall (which is sub-par at best) was also disabled.
Just to note when the MVP starts up with it's initialization screen (before the wired test), it says 'Rev 2.05' and though this is the wired unit it has both a wired and wireless MAC address label on its underside. Last edited by AtomicPenguin; 10-30-2006 at 08:46 AM. |

since the MVP boots and runs with Hauppauge's server software, this thread sounds like the other discussions: Sage's bootp server is too slow or otherwise incompatible with the MVP for some as yet undefined situations.

I received an e-mail from support yesterday afternoon saying that this is supposed to be fixed in the latest v6 beta so I'll give it a whirl this afternoon or later tonight. I'll try to be optimistic about it.
*EDIT* Still nothing.....still not working with 6.0.13... Last edited by AtomicPenguin; 10-31-2006 at 06:02 PM. |

I just wanted to post an update that I finally have the MediaMVP working on my setup with v5.x. My original suspicion of faulty hardware was dead on. I ended up contacting Hauppauge directly (vs continuing on with SageTV support) and they replaced my MVP under warranty.
I received the replacement unit yesterday (just over one week after sending my unit to them) and it works like a charm. |
