Are you sure the backup was actually current? Because Sage doesn't actually "move" anything, if recordings show up in the import directory, that means their data is gone, it means when you started Sage it found files in your recording dir for which there was no matching database record.

If files older than 24 hours are not in the backup database, then something weird is going on, like maybe your backup wasn't current.
