great playback nice and smooth using Media Player classic and simply adding in CoreAVC as an external filter. |

same H.264 problems with my Vip211 R5000 systems. No matter what I try I can't get anything but audio. Even tried the CoreAVC/MPC combo above to no avail. All other H.264 files I have seem to work OK. This is getting very frustrating as a lot of what I watch is on my locals that are coming across H.264 right now. Switching back and forth between sage input for some channels and regular Vip211 inputs is not working out too well.

Check out the thread here in the AVS forum for the R5000. I mention a check box in the MPC configuration pages that you may need to check. "But, try this, View>Options->Internal filters look in the source filters pane, and try checking the box next to MPEG PS/TS/PVA If I have it unchecked, I don;t get any video. if I have it checked, things play AOK. So, I am guessing that i must have checked that box also and forgot to metnion it. " http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...ighlight=R5000 |

This thread is 9 months old now, and I can find no better info so far, so it seems the question remains. How do I get H.264 Dish files to play in Sage? Currently, Sage stores the files as .mpg. They play fine in Elecard MPEG player with the AVC plugin, but I'm looking for an integrated solution.

Bump.
Me too. No luck consistenly with either Nvidia or Cyberlink decoders. I can occasionally get jerky-stuttering playback. This is using r5000/Dish 211 source to try and watch NFL-HD, FOOD, HGTV or other h264 streams. Last edited by HawgGuy; 04-08-2007 at 08:15 AM. |
