GREAT... I'll do that. Here is a screenshot. I know how to send you my wiz.bin but not how to send you my 'channel/tuner setup'?

I just need to know the channel lineup (zipcode/provider) so that I can get the same EPG data ...

I'll send you my email address per PM.

Great Update

Hey, I jumped from 6.9 to 6.11a and think there are some wonderful improvements that have been added.

1.) Can I make a suggestion to the group: Personally, I really like how the IMDB image cache works with the TV Guide and movies. What about showing the currently selected TV show's graphic in leu of the station identification image? Like show the "Seinfeld" graphic and not the "TNT" graphic?

2.) It would be great if there were a configuration option in the SageMC custom settings to also set the font size of the time/date field. Whenever I update to a new STV version I have to always dig up my notes on how to use Studio, navigate to the correct spot...etc. I like a font size of 22. I don't want the clock/date to be so "BAM!" ... small and indiscrete.

Thanks for the update!

I think this STV gets better and better.
I have just moved away from the PVR-350 TV output to fully utilising the MVP for my main 50"TV. Why, oh why did I wait so long.....

I use tvxb as the scraper for my epg, and only about half my shows get the IMDB show info. this is due to Starhub (here in Singapore) that calls the show the name plus the season number.
i.e.
Seinfield (Season 6)
House (Series 2)
Smallville V
Grey's Anatomy II

Is there any way at all that it may be possible in the future to get the lookup to ignore some of this text? I can see where the last two would be pretty much impossible, but maybe the first two - where there is a bracket and a "Series" or "Season" in it?
Or do i just put it into the same basket as comskip (impossible - dont even worry about it fool)

Thanks again for all the good work. The wife really digs 6.11.

Just wanted to say thank you for all of the hard work that you have put into making this STV the best of the best.

Mlbdude would be very proud to see how far along you have taken his initial work. Mlbdude if you still linger around here thank you as well.

Keep up the great work...

Music

Uhh.. I dont know if an stv can do this but ....

Can you put something in there that completely wipes out your music database from the wiz.bin so that it can be imported from scratch? Trying to get rid of stuff thats still hanging around in there that no longer exists....

OK ... dummy me ... I forgot to ask where the properties file lives, so I can edit it.

Or network is called Dugan and my machine is called (not-surprisingly) Heidi. So using your format of: ////studypc//DVD Profiler, I would type ////heidi/DVD Profiler ??? Or do I need to go through the more precise ////heidi/c/program files/intervocative software/DVD Profiler ?

Thanks bunches!

sage.properties is located in your /Program Files/SageTV/SageTV directory.

The path all depends on how you share the folder of interest. I'm not that familiar with using a domain type configuration, if that is what you are using. I'm just using UNC paths, which use computer names and shared directories.

For instance, if you share the folder "DVD Profiler" on your "heidi" PC, then the path would be "////heidi//DVD Profiler" however, if you shared "intervocative software", then your path would be ////heidi//intervocative software//DVD Profiler".

Notice the double // for folder names after the computer name, single / does not work.

Hope that helps.

I tried to search on SageMC and previous menu and couldn't find anything. I just installed it for the first time, but noticed that one I am in a menu, like looking at pictures lets say, if I want to go back to the previous menu I can not find a way to do it. Am I missing something obvious? Sorry if it is in the forum somewhere I really couldnt find anything.

I am experiencing the same problem that Snoopy stated. I also have just one tuner card installed. Not that big of a deal just FYI.

Limit Move Channels?

Is there any way in Sage_MC to limit the channels listed by the "Upcoming Movies" feature? I only want to see, for example, IFC, FMC, Sundance.

TIA

Yes, you need to bind a button on your remote to the "Back" command in Sage. I have a button on my remote that is labeled "PREV", which instead of previous channel, I used it for the back function.

You can also enable the dual use of the left arrow as the back command in the SageMC Options menu.

Or you can enable "Left as Back" in the SageMC options, then you can simply exit all menus with the 'Left' button on your remote...

Edit: we really need a real-time forum post ...

BTW, for those who don't frequent the media extender forum, Morgan111 submitted a post that is relevant to this thread.

I thought there was something like this. To be honest though I haven't found that option yet. I do not see it under any menu under settings. Is there another area for SageMC specific stuff? I thought it just updated the settings, I saw it added commerical skipping (which I havent messed with yet).

There is currently no SageAPI which would allow to only delete the entries in the database. The 'DeleteFile' API which deletes the file physically from disk and removes it from the database would probably work since the files are not there any more. But honestly I am not wild about putting a 'Wipe all' which operates on your actual files into the STV. Should this functionality become available in the Sage core, I will add it ...
