Alright I'm having an ID10T problem with the new version.

I can't get the video preview on the main menu to play in a little window (it's playing in the background full screen.) Help!

Goto Settings->Detailed Setup->Multimedia->Video Menu Options and select 'If active / Window', then go back to SageMC.

Thanks I've set that but now the Preview Panel will not visually resize (values change but video still plays fullscreen.)

Any idea?

I can't import .layout files either. I'd really like to try the circle.layout in the example. I'm trying this on the HD extender, is it possible that's causing the problem?

Yeah, looks like I've migrated two properties I shouldn't have. I'll fix this asap.

For now, shut down the UI, open your sage property file and find/set the following two properties:

sagemc/video_menu_style=XWindow
sagemc/display_video_on_menus=XIf Active

and restart.

Yeah, I just confirmed that it doesn't work on Placeshifter either. I'll try to get this fixed asap.

Note:

Here's a fix for the layout import / cloning not working on placeshifter / MVP. Shut down the server, and extract the jar file to the SageTV\JARs directory. I updated the 6.3.6 development download as well (but not the full download package).

I'm working on a new theme and it seems I can't get the different backgrounds for different screens working. I've tried just the file name and then the full path with \\. Any clues what to what I'm doing wrong?

P.S.-Nice job on the upgrade. I am using SageMC 169-6.3.7.

Gerry

EDIT-Correction. I can define other menu screens EXCEPT for the Main Menu screen. It picks up the background.jpg and won't change to something else. For now my workaround would be to define all the menu screens except the main menu screen. PITA.

Debug log attached, no errors that I can see.
Could it be because it's using the recording date rather than oroginal airing date?
(The Radio Times XML feed doesnt include original airing dates as far as I can tell)

Eh! So the old instant moving between menu items is the same speed as the new sliding hilight bar? The sliding hilight bar is so slow that my remote repeats faster than it can move!

For some reason, my export-all isn't working. No matter what I change and save-all, when I re-import that layout I just saved I get the default layout.

I can import the sample files that were already there, but any export ends up exactly like the default layout.

Any ideas?

This is an awesome new version! Keep up the amazing work. One thing that I find missing is documentation on how to use all of the great features that keep coming out.

What are your thoughts on adding documentation to the download or to a wiki site somewhere that explains all of the functionality that SageMC has and that is updated to stay in sync with the latest release? (The sagecommunity.org site takes me to a random landing page and doesn't seem to be working).

Yup, I'm in the same boat at you. I'm not using MPV nor Placeshifter.

Dirk, FYI the text for RECENT/UPCOMING for the new objects are stretched horizontally on 16:9 displays. The text doesnt look right.

EDIT: Actually it's not stretched. The font just looked a little weird... doesnt match the other fonts used on the screen. Is there anyway to get it to use the same font and style as the rest of the SageMC theme?

Yeah I know why now it wasn't working

It won't work if your running SageTV as a Service.

Or you can take SageTV out of Service and load it normally. It will work

I looked everywhere but I cannot seem to find it. I added a preview panel to the main menu....but I cannot seem to find the setting to enable preview. I get a blank Icon no preview? Is there a setting that I just cannot find?

BTW Fantastic job on the new SageMC. I spend more time playing with it than watching my shows.
