ctrl-shift-F

You might be getting a black screen due to having FSE enabled.

Aloha,
Mike

Yeah, it would make too much sense if it were Alt-F.

Question HD in Guide?

Is there some way to make the HD icon show in the Guide? I'd like to know if a particular show is in HD.. I have both HD tuners and standard Analog SD tuners and want to be sure SageTV knows to use the HD tuners first, especially if the show is being broadcast in HD..

Does SageTV check this when scheduling? Check to see if it is in HD, then assigning the HD tuners for that recording?

Thanks a lot!

Yes, but only if you are using the Default STV (and then you are in the wrong thread anyway ) - the Secret features do not apply to SageMC... Just go to SageMC Options / Main / Global UI Options / Display / Icons Options, and enable the HD icon for the Guide. Also, you can filter on HD airings in the EPG Options menu.

I am seeing similar issues that others are seeing where everytime I start watching a show my autoskip is disabled. I've tried all the suggestions I've found in this thread with no success. I am seeing the following from my log though. Maybe this will help shed some light.

I had this link bookmarked:

It seems there's a few steps involved, including some info from flachbar.

I'm having an issue with the screensaver not working when SageMC is enabled. I'm pretty sure I have it configured properly but it doesn't seem to be working

Things I've tested:
- if I turn off SageMC, screensaver works fine using default interface
- I've tried both the logo screensaver and the slideshow screensaver - neither work.
- I have it set to Screensaver on Sleep, and if I put the extender to sleep, no screensaver either, just a black screen (this used to work as well).
- Upgraded SageMC to the latest version (6.3.6) this morning, didn't help.

Is it a problem with MC or something I'm doing? Any ideas?

thanks!

< Edit: Hmmmm... it's suddenly working on one of my Extenders. It must have been something I did but I don't know what >

Wow, I'm impressed... First post in this forum, and already supplying a debug log file that pinpoints the problem

You are definitely using an older sagemc.jar file. If this happens on MVP/Placeshifter, make sure to stop the service (or server) before copying the JAR files included in the download package.

I think my problem is that I didn't shutdown the service before installing it on my server. I did shut down the UI, just not the service. As a side note, I did look at the time stamp on the sagemc.jar file and it did read december 20. Why wouldn't restarting the service work at this point? Does the service overwrite the jar files? I think I'm just missing some understanding.

-Mike

P.S. you'll have to forgive me, it's been 10 years since I've written anything in Java
