Are video thumbnails (ie showing a frame from the recorded video in the preview window) available in this STV? They work for My Videos but not for Recorded TV. Using the SageMC Enhancements STVi enables them for 6.3.5...

Just upgraded to 6.3.5 and am running Java 1.6, Sage 6.1. Everything works great with the exception of when I browse through a menu, the highlight does not turn off. Essentially if I go through an entire menu they are all highlighted. I started the UI again and the problem remains. I can't find any setting to adjust it. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks.

Hi Dirk,
I just reloaded Sage and the newest SageMC. The new animations seem to be having the slow stepping problem when fast forwarding during DVD playback. I am talking about where you fast forward, and Sage cycles the smooth playback at various speeds, x2, x4, etc. When you press the fast forward button, you can see the animation start with a tiny box. When you click it again, it goes to the medium size, then finally large, and etc. Can you fix it?

Also, thanks for integrating the web reading add-on with Cygwin to the RSS reader. It has been a year or something since I requested that, but I notice it has been finally added.

Finally tried Sage MC 16x9, looks good on the widescreen. One feature I can't find, New series, premiers menu. I use this a lot and would miss it dearly. Assuming its there, where do I look ?

I haven't used that in a while, but I think it's under tv>>schedule then you change one of the top two buttons to premiers (I think it's the second one down). If it's not available, perhaps there is an option within SageMC Settings that must be enabled.

Was that vague enough for you?

Checked it and no luck. Something there called New Suggestions, but its just the IR list.

Other suggestions ?

Hmm...I'll take a look at it tonight when I get home. Possibly it's under the listing of Movies? TV>>Movies? My memory is failing me now, but I'll look tonight, if no one else responds by then.

Try:

My TV > Recorded TV > Schedule > Cycle the top button to Premiers.

I believe that premiers must be enabled in:

Settings > SageMC > Main > Screen Specific Options > My TV > Show Premiers

HTH

Aloha,
Mike

Well, this is interesting ... There isn't a 'Screen Specific Options' selection , at least not that I can find. Also, no 'Premiers' under My TV > Recorded TV > Schedule.

Are there different versions of SageMC available ?

You can see what version of SageMC you are running by going to the settings menu.

Also, you must be running SageTV version 6 for this latest release.

Older SageMC Versions?

I'm currently using 6.3.5 and really do enjoy it, but the SlimServer import doesn't seem to be working properly in this version (the previous menu is ghosted behind the SlimSage graphic and each time the screen is refreshed (bio, etc.) the image is overlaid instead of clearing the data (so I end up with multiple artist pics and bios).

I'm thinking of going back to 6.3.3c since I'm the only one who seems to be having this problem. Does anyone know where I can find it (or maybe a solution to my existing problem so I don't have to downgrade)?

I had SageMC ver 6.3.3c, updated to 6.3.5.1. SageTV ver 6.2.10.152, Java ver 1.4.2_12

Now, nothing 'highlights'. Let's say I'm on the main menu, none of the selections highlight. Using the mouse, revert back to the default STV and restart, same problem. Reboot the machine, (Sage takes longer than Windows to start), same problem.

Currently using the default. Boy, this is fun !!

Ken - I'm guessing the answer here is that you should update your Java to 1.6 (or 6, as it's commonly called) but I'm not sure if that will fix your problem. You also didn't mention whether or not you cleaned up up your SageMC folders before you upgraded - sounds like maybe a theme problem (they're handled differently since 6.3.4).

Maybe try uninstalling Sage (backup wiz.bin, sage.properties, any channel logos), delete the folder completely (SageTV) and do a clean install.

I'll give it a shot later today. Still doesn't answer the original problem, no series premiers menu.

Nothing listed in Movies under SageMC 6.3.5

Has something broken in SageMC V6.3.5. On a client running 6.3.3c, I can see the Movies under TV-Movies. However, on a client running SageMC 6.3.5, I have nothing. has something broken? I must admit that i've only just noticed this becasue I only bothered to set up LMGestions tool last night. In the UK schedules, they are called Films not Movies and LMGestions tool was not finding any!

Try to use the category editor in the Importer to rename whatever you used for the "Movie" category to "Movie": I can't remember if SageMC allows for alternate movie keyword (eg: Film) or not.

Mini guide stops working

So I've started to run across a bug rather frequently with SageMC. The typical scenario is this :

1. Sage Client is sleeping (full screen, little green sage logo bouncing around)
2. Press "Menu" button, the Home screen of SageMC shows up, "My TV" highlighted.
3. Press "OK" - My TV menu is opened up, "Live TV" highlighted
4. Press "OK" - Media is started up, usually on the last channel I was on.

More often than not at this point I can't use the up and down arrows to browse the mini-guide. Nothing happens. I have to navigate around some (open and close the guide, toggle between the main menu, etc) and then eventually they start to work. I haven't pinpointed exactly what step fixes the problem.

Anyone else seeing this?

btl.

Nope, there's no SageMC support for Webisodes.
