I'm pretty sure you can hit the play button while the desired video is highlighted and it should start playing directly.
Thanks Mike, I didn't know that.
That gives me a workaround.

Does anyone know if you can get rid of the metadata completely ?
I just want the dvd images, and when either play (thanks mike) or select is pressed, to go straight into playing the movie.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Dirk,

I've just upgraded to 6.32 and love it. Thanks for all your improvements, particularly in making all the options accessible from within the SageMC Setup Menu. You've really brought this STV forward in its functionality.

I have a feature request regarding the new screensaver options.

Rather than just looking to match a photo based on its filename, I was wondering if we could use its path as well.

I suspect there are a few people like me who have their photos organised so that their directory names are meaningful whilst the filenames are left as the names given by their cameras.

Not that it's a big deal, but if you do get the chance that would be cool.

I'm getting ready for the big upgrade today to SageMC!! Do you guys recommend I use SageTV 6.1 final or SageTV 6.17beta for best stability and compatibility? I'm just waiting for the iTV theme update and thats when I'm going to start installing!

I'd go with the latest version. I have it installed now, with no issues.

If you haven't seen it, also check out MeInMaui's Liquid Theme. It's really nice.

Actually, this option already matches the whole filename including path

So lets say you have the import directory set to "Photos" with

Code:
Photos
+- 2007
    +- Kids
    +- Vacation
+- 2006
    +- Kids
    +- Vacation
...
you can use the following regular expression to show all vacation pictures form 2007:

Code:
2007\\Vacation\\.*
or

Code:
.*\\Vacation\\.*
to show all pictures that are in any Vacation folder...

Is there a way to get that option with dynamic menus enabled?

Simply add a new menu item with "New...", "Internal Screen", and select the screen 'Other Programs'

Hi Mark,

sorry but skipping the Program Info screen is not possible, use "Play" as Mike suggested.

/kids films/Brother Bear 2

I haven't had the chance to test this myself yet (I use DVD profiler for all DVDs), but have you tried to change the title manually via 'Edit Video Info/Edit Title' ?

Hi Michael,

yes you can configure SageMC to show the video in the background (though remember - the menus will not look that great any more, since SageMC was not designed for this usage).

Thanks for getting back to me on this Dirk. I think I'm probably going to end up with using video in a window. But thanks for adding this as an option.

Thanks for the suggestion Jason. Liquid theme is a nice alternative, but I kinda have my heart set on the iTV theme. I really want to start my installation of SageTV 6.1x + iTV theme + all the other SageMC addons (ie Movietimes, Slimplayer, etc); but waiting for Morgan to update iTV to fully support the latest SageMC.

I have a new question. Lets say, I installed SageTV 6.1 final with all the stuff mentioned above. If I upgrade to SageTV 6.17 final (when it becomes available), will all the addons I've installed stay in tact or do I have to reinstall all that stuff all over again?

It will stay intact. What will happen, is the following.

1. You install the new version of SageTV.
2. You will now be using the default SageTV STV.
3. Start up SageTV, and switch back to SageMC, by selecting the SageMC169.xlm file. This part is a bit tricky, because if you have added any imports, you will need to know which - (dash) STV you were using before the upgrade. For instance, if you installed two imports, you would be using SageMC169-2.xml.

If you did all that right, all your imports will be back, and everything just as normal.

geogecko,

How did you get the freespace to show at the top, and the (i'm assuming an RSS feed) to show at the bottom, in the picture you attached?

Thanks,
Mike
