I'm assuming at this point it is the thumbnail. As soon as the IMDB lookup grabbed it last night, it crashed again. I dont recall if this was before or after I clicked 'save', I will have to recheck it. But its the same movie every time (actually 2 of them). What's really weird is that it used to work.

If its truly the coverart (on the import drive with the actual movie file) then I should be able to replace it with another and get rid of the crash, right? Do you happen to know if there is a cache directory of coverart somewhere too? I wonder if that needs some purging, at least for that file.

Yep, and it would be the best proof that it is indeed this specific image file

The IMDB lookup saves the cover art jpg together with the video, and I don't think this gets cached by Sage other than in the internal in-memory image cache (which gets cleared after you restart the UI)

What about the server running in service mode? I guess I should shutdown everything and see if it helps. Might as well move up to the release version too, althought it appears nothing changed from .17 to .18.

I wouldn't expect the server to have any business with displaying cover art for a client, but then, shutting down everything doesn't hurt either

Its not a MC issue, because I duplicated it in the default STV, but was definitely related to the image or .my file. Here is the log file entry associated with one of the files:
Hi Kirby, I guess it's time to file a bug report !

My wife called me this afternoon telling me that Sage crashed, and after looking at the log file I had a deja-vu... Compared it with the debug output you posted, and sure enough, the same thing happened on my machine. It was easy enough to identify the IMDB image in the cache directory that was causing it (for me it was one automatically downloaded for a TV show), and as soon as I replaced it with a different one Sage did not crash any more. I can easily reproduce the crash with the default STV, I just have to assign the image to an imported video...

I'll submit a bug report together with the log file and the image, and I strongly recommend you do the same.

Thanks Kirby, I did the same ...

If anybody feels brave enough to possibly crash his UI then search for "All My Children" (no I am not watching this show ) and let the cover display, it would be interesting to know if the crash will only occur on certain hardware...

I'll try it tonight. Good thing I have a tuner on my development system or my wife would kill me.

Patriot Games, because it's the only one which displays in the browser
But yeah, the look is pretty obvious...

hehe, good guess! What funky thing is going on with the other images? they have some sort of orange film over them.

I am wondering at this point if its something wrong at IMDB? And maybe only images freshly downloaded are causing an issue?

Does sageMC detect edl files on HD ts recordings? I recently tried recording stuff from my HDHR into ts instead of mpg files and since then my comskip files are not detected. Any ideas?

Screensaver and slideshow

Hi Dirk

I just realised that the sage screensaver is not disabled when you watch a photo slideshow with automatic progress.

This means that my slideshows are interrupted after 2 min. by a jumping sage icon.

just to let you know

ts instead of mpg? I take it that since you are referring to them that way, that your ts file does not have an mpg wrapper.

In other words, now, instead of having HD .mpg files, you have .ts files?

If so, did you change, or add to, the trigger, so that DM2, or whatever you are using to kick off SA or Comskip, knows to process those files?
