I remember that when 4.0 beta was released almost a year ago, there was a promise by SageTV that the Music library would be improved dramatically.

Opus4 even hinted that it is in the pipeline and will be something well worth waiting for.

Guess they are not there yet.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forums, but I've been using Sage for some time now. There's lots I love about it. One suggestion for a future feature (forgive me if someone else has already posted it):

Support for MCE extensions.

Also, one more vote for a UI overhaul, especially the music jukebox section.

I don't know about a year ago, but all I mentioned earlier this year was that there were plans to change it 'soon'... and while 'soon' is now sooner than it was then, I still can't give any exact timeframe for how soon 'soon' is. Other than the fact that it is still planned for the next version, that's all that can be said.

It'd be nice if we could use Winamp visualizations instead of the regular one. I'd even be thrilled if we could use WMP visualizations.

few quick things:
1) Native support for HD via Cable Box Firewire -- not 3rd Party;
2) Tive-like FF and RW -- I know they said it can't be done, but I have to believe that the people at Sage can do this -- they are too smart!
3) More feature-rich music support (better visualizations, play-back options, tagging, etc...)

#2 is already available via a plugin by nielm, as I recall. Check HERE for the juicy details!
