HELP!

Help!

I also get an exception with 3.1.
I uninstalled old 2.8 before directly installing 3.1.
I even tried to clear all my old configuration data.
Unfortunately all of my error screens are in German, see attached screenshots.

Content of settings.xml:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Settings>
  <Settings>
    <sagetv_path value="C:\Programme\SageTV\SageTV" />
  </Settings>
</Settings>
SageTV Path is OK.

Any ideas?

Oliver

Do you get the exception when trying to launch the Importer, or when trying to install it?

Sorry... installation went just fine. Exception occurs when launching the Importer.

Send me an e-mail at lmgestion@hotmail.com and I'll send you a test build for trying to locate the exception.

Hi, great software btw, I am a donator as I think it's brilliant. Anyway I am using the digiguide converter to import XML data along with your tool. The XML file that it produces marks repeats by using a <previously-shown /> tag. Your tool doesn't seem to notice this, as it has marked shows without that tag as repeats, when they are indeed first runs. Is there anyway I can change this behaviour?

Thanks

Verify that you do not have checked the check box "shows without original air date are reruns".

If this check box is unchecked all your shows should be first run unless they have a previously-shown node (or if you are using the Importer for a long time it will remember the airings for all shows).

Regards,
Stéphane.

Hey,
I've not checked that box, yet Sage shows a few shows i've checked wrongly. For example "Would I Lie to You" (http://www.mydigiguide.com/tv-guide/...lie%20to%20you) - which is the webversion of the same data in the XML file - shows it as a first run, yet Sage shows it as a repeat. Any ideas?
Thanks

Bug:

In "Scheduled Update" when you select to run the Importer automatically but you do NOT check any of the weekdays, the Importer crashes after clicking on "OK".

and one more:
see attached screenshot. Seems like there are some texts missing when clicking on the tray icon while import is running silently.

Send me your XMLTV file and lookup.xml file (you'll find it in the Configs and Log folder of the Importer, you can open it frm the "Update Guide Data" menu) zipped at lmgestion@hotmail.com. And let me know which programs are wrongly seen as re-run.

When the "previously-shown" node is not given, it doesn't guarantee that the Importer will see the show as a first run. Instead the Importer use its history to see if the show was previously aired or not. The "premiere" node on the contrary guarantee that the show will be seen as first run (and also the absence of the "premiere" node doesn't guarantee that the show will be seen as a re-run).

Regards,
Stéphane.

Hello,

I'm trying to use version 3.2 of this program with the radio times xmltv feed but the importer stops at about 75%. This is the end of the trace.log file:

20080720 16:49:03.819 - Error - Unexpected error :Syntax error: Missing operand after 'MNT' operator.
at System.Data.ExpressionParser.Parse()
at System.Data.DataExpression..ctor(DataTable table, String expression, Type type)
at System.Data.Select..ctor(DataTable table, String filterExpression, String sort, DataViewRowState recordStates)
at System.Data.DataTable.Select(String filterExpression)
at LMGestion.XMLTVImporter.XMLTVImporter.ComputeRowId(String channelXmlTvId)
at LMGestion.XMLTVImporter.XMLTVImporter.ProcessChannels(DateTime importDate)
at LMGestion.XMLTVImporter.XMLTVImporter.DoImport()
20080720 16:49:03.819 - Info - Import done

Version 2.8 works OK with the same data. Can anybody help?

Cheers,
Martin.

Hi Stephane

I've been having problems with a few episode names not importing correctly.

I've put some screen shots below. I took them from the web interface as it was easier to do at the time

http://docwalker.dyndns.biz/zenphoto...small_pic2.jpg

I've upgraded to the latest July release. I've been getting this issue since the first v3 release. I've not cleared my data down completely to see if its been fixed with your latest update.

I love the new lineup config, it makes it so much easier thanks

This is odd : version 2.x and 3.x should behave in the same way (both should crash for this). I guess you have one XMLTV channel with a quote in its ID.

This will be fixed for an upcoming release.

Regards,
Stéphane.

Interesting.

For fixing it:

1) Open XMLTV Importer, go to "Advanced Options" and fix the Season / Episode / Part number prefixes

2) Go to "Update Guide Data", click on the "Open Configuration and Logs Folder" link. Delete all XML files in the "Guide Data" Folder.

3) Import your guide data again

Regards,
Stéphane.

Hello,

I've been trying to use the new 3.1 build for some time but every time I launch the importer it only shows me a "sky blue" window with nothing in it !?!

I get no error messages.... the window just sit there still and nothing happens.

I've tried re-installing the importer and downloading .Net 3 directly from microsoft (offline Install) but nothing seems to work.

Do you have by any chance a verbose argument to give the importer to troubleshoot it or to create a log ?

Regards,

Cortechs.

Try version 3.2, it does feature a log file for unexpected errors.

Though as the Importer is not crashing: the log may not contain anything.

However: if all you get is a blue window, this is because the Importer has not been able to load its language file (located in C:\Program Files\LM Gestion\XMLTV Importer for SageTV\Lang). The language files are XML files : there are two of them en-US.xml and fr.xml (Version 3.2 also load the language file in a different way so it may fix the issue. If the issue is not fixed in 3.2, send me an e-mail and I'll send you a test build)

Regards,
Stéphane.
