When you take a look at their piece for the MAC keep in mind that it was easy to do a placeshifter - and that's why they did it. It's not a replacement for a client.

However, if we don't buy it, rest assured, we'll never get a client, I think.

So, can I use the Placeshifter to directly interface with a HD Homerun?

Hmm-- am I understanding this right? Can I configure the Placeshifter to connect directly to my HD Homerun on its own, without a SageTV server?

That would be great!

No, all types of clients have to connect to a SageTV server.
