I've backed down to Java 1.4.2 (config otherwise unchanged) to see if this sorts the issue out.

It will take a few days of watching - at its worst my problem was only intermittent: maybe one crash every 20 or so hours of viewed video and never when Sage was sitting at the desktop or the UI was sleeping. It also seems not to matter whether the back end is recording or not.

Thats good. While you try that I'm downgrading Sage to 4.1.0 and seeing what happens.

I've not noticed this problem in ages now (still on 4.1.12). Any of you using service mode, or not? I think it perhaps only happens when using just the standalone UI or service mode with the UI running on the server. Since I moved to a server running the service and a separate client, no issues.

So you just need to buy another computer...

BTW, made no difference to me, 1.4.2 or 5.

Using service mode with the psuedo client on server. Problem happens to my client as well.

Since this is now a bug IMHO I've submitted a bug report and posted a new thread in the software forum here.
