I never tried it, but I dont think it will work since the Play/Stop hooks will probably be different for DVD play and Video library.

I could look into this and see if it's easy to add ...

This import works nicely, I've utilized it a couple of times already.

The type of file shouldn't matter, as long as you can play it from the "Imported Videos" menu. I personally only use it for playing *.wmv files, so I think it should work. Simply install it and try it out ...

Works perfect! As far as I am concerned this has plugged a big hole in my Sagetv set up,

Thanks for the plug in.

I can't get it to work. It does nothing for me at all I'm using your second release with the updated jar file and yes I restarted Sage...any ideas? Running the latest java here. It doesn't even create the videolibrarytimes.properties file.

I am terribly sorry, the new download did not contain the latest version of the STVi.
Please download the stvi attached to this post (or the updated zip from the Download page), and reimport it. Again, sorry ...

This is a great idea that I wish Sage would have incorporated from the start. Has anyone gotten this to work with SageMC?

Any progress or suggestions on getting this to work? I keep bouncing back and forth between STVs looking for the one with the features I like. They're all great

I experience unexpected behaviour while viewing imported videos that I have already viewed before.

When I view a new video, this import seems to work well. But upon viewing it a second time, it does not remember the position anymore.

How do I reset it when viewing a video multiple times?

It would require extra coding to get this working in SageMC, since the STV structure is so different. I do not use SageMC myself, that's why it didn't have high priority for me. If I can find some spare time I might have a look at it, but no promises ...

I must admit I never tested it that way. I'll have a look at this ...

Hi wheemer,

Strange ... I just tested it here on my machine, and it works fine for me. And looking at the code again it really shouldn't make any difference whether you play a file for the first or the nth time - every time you hit stop the current play time in the file should get updated. So I really don't know why this doesn't work for you ...

What happens when you play a file for the first time, and then rewind back, let it play a little, and then hit stop - when you play it again, does it start off from the earlier time ?

Is there something special that needs to be done to get this to work with Germsage?

Sorry bobrap, I must have missed your post ...

So I assume you already tried it and it does not work ? Well, I do not use Germsage (never had), and since the plugin was initially only intended for my own use I only tested and support the default STV. If I get some time I might have a look and see how different the related STV code in Germsage is, if it's not too bad I probably can modify the import code of my plugin, but no promises though ...
