How would you group SageTV functions?

Disclaimer: I have yet to finish an STV, ever, so this may go nowhere

Just a little disclaimer so nobody get's their hopes up too much. I've got a little project I'm playing with, and the technical details are coming along. But I'm having a bit more trouble with the less technical stuff. So, I pose the question:

If you were to place SageTV function is groups, how would you do it?
Specifically:
What groups do you think there should be?
What functions should be in each group?

Well if you mean for Menu Layout ... I prefer the following high level groupings;

My TV
My Music
My Videos
My Pictures
News, Weather & Traffic
Settings

I like a clean Main Menu. Rather than keep the important PVR stuff on top, I prefer to just program remote buttons for them. To me, for common tasks it's easier to press a button than navigate the menus anyway. But, if I do need to navigate, organizing it this way makes sense to me for logical easy access.

Of course what works for some may not for others ... That's why I like the menu flexibility!

If you want my function groupings below that I can send those over as well.

T.

I prefer it differently:

Watch TV (Live TV, Guide, Movies, Search)

Record TV (Guide, Timed Recording, Planned (all/conflicts), Search)

Media Center (TV Archive, Video, Music, Pictures)

Weather

Settings

I have it organised like this in SageMC with dybamic menu.

Regards, jan

I plan to implement functionality till it looks like this:
TV (contains all TV/PVR related functions)
DVD (watch DVD & DVD library which contains all ripped DVD images)
Music
Media Centre (contains Photos, imported videos, browse emedia files and weather)
Configuration

Plan to write a decent Music library STVi which would appear as a Main Menu entry, after I've first implemented all functionality into the DVD Library STVi.
